"I cannot say enough good things about our stay at Villa Alba d’Oro. We were traveling with friends and celebrating a birthday. Everything was fantastic! Alessio, the property manager, and Martina provided exceptional service. They were easily reachable by phone and text and always responded almost immediately. "We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was great for visiting the ruins and taking a trip up Vesuvius and the staff couldn't have been nicer. The room was basic but clean and well presented and the grounds of the hostel were lovely. I'd highly recommend a stay here."

"Beautiful location and accommodating staff. The ocean view is spectacular. Fewer tourists and wonderful beach access. However, overpriced relative to the suite amenities. Very noisy neighbourhood with constant barking dogs, motorcycle noise, and fireworks. Could hear noise from the apartment above. No microwave, outdated coffee maker. Had to purchase instant coffee and paper products from the nearby store. "

"Great location. Downfall is the very weak wifi connection. If you’re planning to do work or access the internet during your stay, this isn’t the place to do it. The building has 2 washing machines and 1 dryer, which costs 2 euros per machine. There’s 1 clothing iron in the laundry room to share for the entire complex, which doesn’t work very well so we’d suggest bringing a travel steamer/iron. Overall, we had a good time. "
