"What they DON'T tell you about this place is it is in a giant parking lot, there are about 9 "cottages" next to each other, about 10' between each one, that are on the perimeter of said parking lot. We had a great stay at the Fairview Inn in Jackson, MS! It is a perfect stop for a relaxing hotel, giving a feel of down south home at every point. The friendliest and most welcoming staff I have EVER encountered at a hotel. I was really overwhelmed; you think good customer service is dying out and then your faith is restored by people like these!!! They had a very nice manager reception from 5-7p with chips, dip, fruit, cheese, wine, beer, lemonade. I have never seen that in a "2.5" star hotel!!! And a super nice employee at that reception! We had never stayed at Home 2 before so really assumed it would be like most hotels. We were pleasantly surprised by the modern decor and wonderful layout of the room. The kitchenette, cabinetry, storage, sofa area that could be curtained off, the large bathroom with dispensers in the shower, complete blackout shade, and excellent lighting were all such nice upgrades from the hotels we usually use. We will definitely look for Home 2 wherever we go from now on!
