Firenze just about ok
Basic room with no fridge.
Average really room showing its age but was clean and towels were good quality.
Room was air conditioned
Shower is rainbow style
I guess I expected a little more from Firenze for what I paid in Oct
Room was fine and I would stay there again but would look for more amenities in the room.
Fine for a weekend but not for a week or long term stay.

The hotel is not a hotel it is more like renting rooms in a 4th floor walk up with a small elevator you can use one person at a time. As soon as you walk in to the first floor the smell of sewage was overwhelming and in the room if you kept the bathroom door closed and the window open it was not that bad but when you opened the bathroom door it was nauseating and we bought air freshener with no resolution of the stench. Unfortunately the hotel was paid for and we had no other choice but to stay. Wifi is very slow so don't count on it too much. However if location is what you are looking for then this is an ideal location. It is walking distance to everything great cafes, restaurants and shopping. Also the people in Florence were very nice and the staff at the hotel was too just the stench was too much.
The picture of the Hotel Vento is not the Casa Micol which is another building, the bathroom is very very small so much that the toilet seat cannot stay up, the room door is not secure, the aircon is turned off at 2 am by the owners timer, the noise from other rooms is very loud and pigeons on the roof will wake you, the Casa Micol is not 3 star under any method in any country.
This property is NOT even 1 star by Hotels .com rating,
The bed and sheets were ok, air conditioning auto cuts out at 2 am even after reporting, to save money, in morning noise of pigeons on roof, noise of other residents personal noises since plumbing not properly done, property is not part of a hotel but remote from hotel. Security concerns since door has obviously been broken open and is flimsy. Certainly not 3 star in Italy.
Where to start.
1. The room did not match the photos, especially the bathroom that was tiny with the shower on top of the toilet (see photos).
2. The room was not clean with stains on the walls and dust and dirt across all of the surfaces.
3. The building had a persistent smell of drains combined with smoke which was not the most pleasant, especially as the room was described as non-smoking.
The room was so bad that we had to abandon the room and book another hotel for the second night. We are used to staying in hostels so that provides a perspective on how bad the room was.
If I could do ZERO star I would. This is by far one of the worst hotel I ever been in....Trust me this is beyond bad...DO NOT BOOK THERE.
The room was so bad... You could hear litteraly everything outside, the smell in the room was a nightmare, I got mosquitoes bite all over my back (trip in early March!!! Not in the summer...) the beds were camping bed not comfortable and ridiculous. No hot water, shower so small even my child had hard time getting in...Wifi doesn't work. No elevator... I could go on and on... This hotel should not be allowed to EXIST.
There is no reception at Casa Micol. It is a door off the street leading into a dark intimidating and smelly corridor that smells of dank and must. The accommodation is up a long number of stairs or via a tiny claustrophobic elevator. No thanks. I walked. Up to the third floor and just a sense of decay and a penitentiary feel. The room had a sparse bed, no duvet, a horrid painting over the bed, a wierd smell from the hallway. Bathroom, substandard. Crumbling peeling pain inside the shower. Dodgy. I could not stay there. I checked out almost as soon as I had checked in at the reception which is located in another hotel Veneto which again was very loveless and not at all cheerful. The man on reception was kindly and polite. It’s not his fault. But the photo of reception on Expedia is actually of the hotel Veneto ( which I would not stay at either given it’s associated with Casa Micol.
The pictures on Hotels.com show a decent looking place, but it is anything but decent. There is an old outdated elevator that only fits one person and a suitcase.
The walls were so thin that we were prematurely awakened by movement outside.
There was a moldy smell in a room next to the elevator on the main level that cause my 6 yr old asthmatic son to cough profusely. I wasn’t able to stay beyond that one night. We checked out the next day and when I explained to the guy at the front desk (who spoke very little English), he nodded and told me to talk to Expedia about the refund instead of telling me no to my face like a man. Expedia called them and they said no.
In fairness to the property, it was stated in the beginning that it was a non-refundable arrangement. However, I would think that when I explain the situation, they’d show mercy and bend on their policy. I wasn’t looking for a full refund. Only for the days remaining nights. They simply didn’t care about a father having to make this choice to protect his son. Based on that, I could not recommend anyone to stay here.
If you are a single traveler or a couple with no intention of spending much time in the room, maybe this will work.
The rooms are old, outdated and ragged. The management staff was shady to ME. Maybe they were nice to others, but I can only speak for myself.
Very expensive according to amenities. The A/C was defective. The room upstairs didn’t get any air. Me and my daughter had to use neck fans all night to be able to sleep.
Terrible experiencia. Los empleados no se importan contigo. No había wifi en la habitación. Me pasé dos dias quejándome con ellos. Nadie me contestó.

There was a blackout for ~12 hours in the hotel on the 2nd day of my stay. There were no light, no air-conditioning, and no wifi during that hot summer night.
I don’t know why this place didn’t provide any blanket. It’s very mandatory of running hotel or guesthouse business. I stayed here 2 nights, first night I got back to the hotel quite late and realized that there was no blanket on the bed just only thin bedsheet cover over the bed. I thought they might forgot to put blanket underneath the bedsheet and I tried to find some in the wardrobe but only found just another thicker bedsheet so I used them instead for the first night (I didn’t tell the reception because they are at another building across street and it’s quite late). So the next morning, I left the note on the bed for housekeeper to leave blanket for me. But when I came back to the room it’s still nothing! I don’t know why or the hotel think thin bedsheet is enough for 13-15 degree celsius. Staffs were nice but they are away in another building, you need to walk to get to them.
