Most awful living ever

Very awful, no staff no air conditioner no water, it is in summer and we have to sleep under 34 degree The bed is full of bugs and I saw some rats More importantly, many strangers knocked your door at mid night and ask you for money. You will sleep more comfortable and safe even on the sleep

Okay stay

People at the desk were very nice and helpful. We stayed in room 204 which was very dated. Peeling wallpaper, water stayed pooled on the floor outside shower. Took us 15 minutes to walk from station. Not many restaurants around. All and all just okay. Clean safe quiet. Bed was not very comfortable.

We loved the staff, the morning breakfast and location was walkable to Florence. The few issues we would have appreciated a bit more: it was the hottest week on record and our room was not cool enough after being out all day. The bed was very hard, that made resting in a hotter room after a long day of walking through Italy a challenge too. The shower was tricky to learn because it didn’t have a curtain and we had to try hard not to splash water on the floor. Otherwise- we looked forward to the breakfast and the quaint look of the hotel.

The room only had one window on the ceiling and it was super small, no lighting and felt suffocating. The shower and the toilet occupied the same space. So water just fell everywhere. Not really close to any tourist spots. The room was clean enough and the staff was nice but overall not worth it for the price.

This hotel is situated walking distance to some of the best spots Florence has to offer. Restaurants are nearby so you don’t have to rely on transportation. The only complaint that I have is that the wi-fi did not work on the upper level. I spoke with front desk and the manager about it and nothing was done about it. I thought a complimentary breakfast would have sufficed to compensate for the inconvenience but there was no remedy or offer to help mediate the issue. Overall, it’s a beautiful room that’s equipped with a bathtub and patio to smoke or catch a tan. Hopefully the wi-fi is better in the coming weeks

Positive : Walking distance to the city, Bus right around the corner, helpful and polite staff Negative: Aircon can barely keep up, it got really warm and if you put the aircon on max sewage smell will come out. Bathtub the reason we booked here is nasty, the water is yellow / green and lots of hair in the drainage. And it also smellls sewage here. Shower tiles at the bottom are falling apart, silicone almost all gone. If you can stay away from this place, only in emergency use it.

When I came to the hotel on the second evening my room was not locked - the door was not closed after cleaning and I felt very uncomfortable. Nothing was stolen, but it did not feel good. Furthermore the room furniture was very old. I think for this price the room should be remodeled. The bidet was highly advertised, but the drain was blocked and not usable. The bathroom was very tiny and the shower too small and without any storage to put the soap. I would not book this hotel again. However the staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean.

I stayed for 3 nights at Hotel Panama. It’s just out of the busy centre of Florence but far enough to be away from the noise and hustle and bustle of Florence. It’s a good 15-20min walk from the main train station. There are good bus links nearby but I walked everywhere so that I could see more of Florence. It’s not great for nearby restaurants so I suggest eat in town before heading back to the hotel for bed. Honestly though, if you’re like me and don’t mind a 20min walk to most places, then this hotel is in a good place. The hotel and room was clean and basic, but honestly it was just a base for me to sleep. If you’re out and about most of the day then it’s perfectly fine. The breakfast was disappointing for selection and very few. And you could homely have 1 coffee. Other then that it was good.

The woman who greeted us upon arrival on the 13th of August in the afternoon around 4pm, was incredibly rude. She was not helpful in the least and gave attitude. The bedroom provided was not what I paid for or asked for. I had asked for 2 twin beds and we got 1 bed in the worst possible room. The towels smelled like white vinegar, there was no shower curtain and water would splash everywhere, the room was very badly lit, and to top it all off, we got ants all over our bags because I guess there is an infestation of some sort.

The staff were nowhere to be seen at any point during my stay. There was no concierge service, no reception, no one to ask about anything or raise concerns with. If I’d known this I wouldn’t have booked this hotel! The room was only cleaned once, not daily. The aircon was on full blast with no controls and no way to turn it off and the hair drier didn’t work.
