Review for the Hotel UNA in Florence, Italy Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience. While the hotel looks modern, the rooms have several issues, both in appearance and functionality. We were first given a room with a damaged wall (as shown in the photo) and a malfunctioning bathroom. We reported it and were moved to another room, but in the second room, the sink and shower were clogged—they had to send a plumber just so we could use it. It was a disaster. I do not recommend this hotel. I’m sharing this review for the benefit of future guests

The location was good. Great bars and restaurants in the local area and only 15 minute walk from the main tourist sites. The hotel staff gave great advice and were helpful. Easy bus route to Firenze SMN station, or €7 taxi ride.

If you want elegance, glamour, beauty, and stunning, this is the property to stay with. The General Manager at the main hotel, UNA Hotels, was remarkable to deal with. We arrived from Rome, and were offered water and a lovely coffee while we sat outside in the patio area. We were then transported to the apartments, part of the hotel, in the centre of it all. Glorious, clean, and reminded me of being a movie star.

Our stay in Florence was quite nice and the property was very accommodating. While it states it was located near the city centre, it was not. It was 20 minutes to 30 minutes to walk to the Duomo and other sites. Cabs were expensive and the buses were confusing. The hotel itself was quiet and comfortable in a somewhat hip part of town.

Nice location but out-dated with very weird design. The room lightning was so high-end it needed to be rebooted in the middle of the night by staff. Breakfast was fine.

The staffs were so nice, helpful and professional. The bathtub was old. WiFi didn’t work very well. No plug to charge smartphone near the bed. We were 3 guests, and we had to ask for multi plug outlet to charge our phone (it was located far from the head part of the beds), the breakfast was not high quality.

The decor is really awful, it’s like a 1984 music video vomited this hotel. The rooms are really in need of a refresh and have poor sound insulation. BTW the restaurant is closed on Sundays and the snack options are very limited. It’s also pretty far from the historical center. Only upside is that the staff is very nice

Complicated hotel

Check in was chaotic. Hotel had precharged stay without approval. Receptionist was alone and extremely busy. Check in process extremely complicated and took almost 40 minutes! Rooms where either funny or very strange looking. Beds and toilet was okay.

Photos on the website are deceiving. It should be rated a 2 or 3 star at best, not a 4. The bathroom leaked; there were moldy ceilings and a moldy smell. very dated, 70's decore; floors dirty; dark small rooms; wall thin. Pictures and ratings do not match the actual property.

This could be such a good hotel if only they maintained and upgraded it. Everything is very dated, tattered and it needs major upgrade work. Our initial room was terrible with broken taps and handrail, dirty carpet and peeling paint on ceilings. We complained but the initial response from the man at reception was all excuses, and no other rooms available. A more assertive complaint at the counter then resulted in them finding another room. Surprise!! Other staff then attempted make up for the initial issues but averall, a very poor experience for a hotel charging €300 a night.

The hotel is beautiful, i love the architectural design modern meets vintage fused together to form a beautiful structure. I love how each room door tells a story with a piece of skillfully artistic painting of somone is history. Also, the designs of the bar area and the meshed tiles used all over the interior of the building. The only thing is, the shower needs a whole lot of scrubing with bleach and powered soap to get out all the build up scum thats obviously been ignored for a long time now, its brown. The hotel is a little walk from everything but, there are little shops and restaurant along the road and it was very easy to get taxi from the hotel airport unlike other hotels. Overall, its a very comfortable stay and the room is really nice with all the lights integrated into one touch panel sitting on the bedside table which, is so adorable because the accent wall is magenta and has little fairy lights integrated into each square making it a very beautiful sights when all the other lights are off. It's a beautiful room. The drink cocktail mix from the bar was very nice because I just ordered and they made up a wonderful mixture that I didnt want to finish. Over all 4****

Dishonest management and dingy amenities!

The worst hotel experience I have had in my life, and I am well traveled. Book with serious caution! Their facilities are nothing to write home about. I had allergies from dust in the room and the bathroom in one of our rooms had an odor. The place looks dingy. I highly advise against staying here, untop of this the management and staff are dihonest!! This hotel confirmed that I would not be charged an extra night for a modified booking, yet charged me full price during my check out for an additional night that I didn’t use. They then proceeded to lie to me, that they had issued me a refund via Expedia/hotels.com. I contacted hotels.com who confirmed no refund was issued, they in turn contacted the hotel who then said they wouldn’t issue me a refund for an additional hotel night that I did not use. To make matters worse, I have receipts that show the one night I was charged and paid for upon check in. I sent all these receipts and a detailed email to the hotel to amicable resolve this fraudulent charge, till now they have refused to respond and are instead telling hotels.com that they won’t refund me. They are deceitful, they even lied to the hotels.com agent that contacted them that their manager was away for the weekend when I had just seen him that morning.

Excelente hotel con las habitaciones más feas.

Decoración y layout de las habitaciones espantosa, descuidada, incómodas. Una barra de bar como piesera de la cama horrible, impractica y sumamente incomoda. Los colores y la iluminación agresiva, parece una habitación para película de adultos que para un viaje de negocio que requiere comodidad y armonía. Aparte todo muy descuidado, es horrible barra super maltratada con marcas de baños, quemaduras de cigarrillo, rallada y sucia por todos lados. El baño igual, horrible, la tapa del WC rota, todo agotado por los años de uso y cero mantenimiento. El resto del hotel muy bien, buena comida, estupendo desayuno y una muy buena atención. Requieren las habitaciones una total redecorada por algún decorador con noción de comodidad y práctica elegancia, no uno que sea consumidor de halicinogenos ,😁😁😁😂😂
