"2 hours before arriving I tried to contact property to warn that we would arrive after 7pm. Owner wouldn't pick up the phone and texted me that reservation was cancelled. Weekend of the 15th of August, with a 3.5yo and a 4 months. Nice. Owner helped with relocation that's why I do not put the badest."

"After a long day of travel we were hoping to sleep soundly, but the on-site (mediocre) restaurant had extremely loud live music going until past 11pm. Room was drab; no mirror in bathroom other than small swivel; no internet in room -- only in family quarters of owners; dark unlighted path from parking area to room when we returned from our dinner at 9pm; unfriendly and brusk owner; bed uncomfortable ridge in middle. AVOID this place!!!"

"Belle semaine de vacances en famille dans ce logement très bien équipé et climatisé. La piscine et le jardin sont magnifiques ! Le joli village de Fontvieille est accessible à pied. Un grand merci aux hôtes qui sont très sympathiques. Le seul petit défaut de la maison est que 2 des chambres sont en enfilade. Je recommande ce logement !"

"There was one downside of this place - the creeping service fees which are not declared on the Vrbo profile. The website announces that bedding is provided, but then the owner writes to you to ask for €10 per person for sheets and towels. On arrival, you are told to use a screwdriver to clean the shower drains of hair before you leave. Then on departure, with minutes to spare, you are told to clean the whole place yourself or pay another €50. It’s not unusual to ask for a cleaning fee, but...

"I loved the location, right across the street from the old city. There was a grocery store next door, very convenient. The property seems to be student residences as well as hotel and has laundry facilities, safe bicycle storage, recycling, an exercise room and breakfast for an extra fee, which we didn't do. The bed was comfy, the kitchen was fine, the shower was great, the room was very spacious, but with a characterless, unadorned feel. Still, over all, good value. "
