We had incredible consideration given to us by providing us with blankets for our trip to see outdoor evening performance of Kynren. Breakfast was a gorgeous plentiful full English. "Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during our short stay, and is still finding his feet a little having only recently taken on the business.
Food options were limited when we arrived, particularly for our two fussy children, so we did eat elsewhere that night, but the cooked breakfast in the morning was very good,...
"We traveled two weeks in Scotland and Appleby Castle had by far the most delicious dinner. Staff was small but worked hard and swift. Castle was cozy and true to its heritage. "

"The pub is situated in peaceful countryside and is in a great location.
The proprietors were so welcoming and kind, helping me to my room with my luggage. My room was comfortable, nicely decorated and the bathroom clean with nice toiletries.
The food in the pub was good, and the service was friendly and efficient.
I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and would certainly stay there again if I’m in the area."

"Arrived to a bank of motorbikes which was a bit intimidating but after that (they left after 5 mins) everything was A1👌 Good sunday roast; room tastefully decorated; shower was great but best of all was the quality mattress and feather pillows - slept easily which is unusual for me in hotels. Lovely ambience throughout the hotel too. Stylish & excellent stay for the price point. Would def go back. "

"Was very pleasantly surprised by the exceptional cleanliness and service in this hotel. It has all the welcoming warmth of a great British pub, but with the feel of a four star hotel. We had dinner both nights in the restaurant and breakfast both mornings, the food was very good. We were very impressed and would definitely stay again. Highly recommend !"
