"One night (Tuesday) stay after a theatre visit. Haven’t stayed at the hotel since the Ramada days and was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Obviously had been referred since we last stayed and very impressed with it room very clean, nice sized bathroom (although a little high getting in bath for a shower ok for me as I’m 6-2 but a little struggle for her who is 5-4). Bed super comfy lovely nights sleep. Nice selection of tea coffee etc. no fridge in room which was not an issue for 1 night. Staff pleasant and helpful. Didn’t eat at hotel so cannot comment. Overall Excellent 5 ⭐️ 👍"

"Sue on reception was absolutely fantastic. My only other comment is that the hotel used to have a gym and swimming pool, but these were apparently closed during the pandemic but never reopened."

"The house is magnificent - very spacious, well-lit and airy, and well-appointed overall. It has a massive living room, a dinning area, and a well-equipped kitchen (with gas cooker, oven, microwave, pots and pans, fridge and freezer, mugs and cutlery). It has gas central heating and 3 bedrooms, with the master's being en-suite with its own separate TV.As such, it a welcoming home away from home close to local amenities, including the main Lords Street, the promenade, the leisure facilities for the children, shops and supermarkets - all within walking distances. The only thing we struggled with was operating the washing machine, but I am sure the owners will sort that easily. Finally, although we didn't meet John, I could tell by his voice and text messages that he is very warm and friendly. I will definitely recommend a stay at the property. Eugene"
