"A very fun and interesting hotel to stay in - if you don't know the history of the building, definitely look it up! Staff was friendly, and room was very clean. It's also in a pretty great location, that made getting to things via walking, bus, or tram very easy.
The only small issues we had was that our room was on the 2nd floor, which is just above the club that is also in the building, and we could hear the music and noise from it, Pink Street, and the bar next door until 4am and sometimes later (disclosure: we happen to be there during the World Cup, so some games were played very late into the early morning). I do think if you were on a higher floor, this wouldn't be an problem.
However that being said - we stayed 6 total nights, and the elevator was only on for the first 2 nights, which happened to be the weekend. We were not sure if it was maybe shut off because of the heatwave that was happening while there (it reached 100F a few of the days) or if they regularly have it turned off during the week, or if it simply broke - either way it wasn't communicated to us that it could not be used. But since we weren't very high up, again this was a small issue."
