Finding where to check in was confusing, but once we were able to get our keys and to our rooms - everything was good. It is an older hotel with some updates but the overall vibe is fun and relaxing. The location is outstanding.

Love Hollywood beach

Love staying here it’s right on the beach and all the shops and has free breakfast every morning. The rooms are big and renovated plus they have kitchens and refrigerators for you to cook.

We had a wonderful stay at Del Mar and will most definitely be returning!! When looking for a place to stay I did a lot of research. We decided upon Del Mar. Such a great family vacation with friendly neighbors and staff. Couldn’t have asked for a better location either. I think Del Mar is the best place out of all of Hollywood beach hotels. Highly recommend. How could you not have a great time when the beach is just steps away.

Location was amazing... really enjoy watching the boats go by in the am.... could use a deep cleaning....and new blinds....for better privacy.had a beautiful deck on canal but was not accy. Which would have been nice too sit out there in the AM and have coffee.

Nice stay.

Checkin was a breeze at 10p. They were friendly and we walked to our Roo ! Room was clean, air conditioning was very cold! We did have a kitchenette, but we had no dishes, pans, or utensils. Coffee maker, but no cups, filters or coffee. We did try the breakfast the first morning. It’s only open for one hour. They do not do a good job of restocking, so if you are not the first in, you are picking through leftovers. Overall happy. Great location to the beach.

Cute place! Girl that checked me in was nice. The xtra fees resort fee, parking & $100 deposit was a joke. I ne er even saw a pool.Was not one @ the property I was @. BF was bread cereal & boiled eggs.Which that was fine. I mean come on with the xtra resort fee! If it wasnt for that I would say it was fantastic. Great location & super cute room. Though there was a huge hole in our bathroom door. If you want kitchen items you have to ask for them & check them out. Something to remember when booking here.

The TV's nor the WiFi was working. I called to report and they sent the security guard who didn't even know what was going on. The walls and floors are very thin so you can hear everything from other rooms. Didn't get a good night's rest because of all the noise. The bed was comfortable.

Don’t stay here

This place was a big disappointment!! Not what was described at all. They provided nothing shampoo or soap as viewed in pictures here didn’t exist. Termite infection see my picture. Every amenity was al a carte see my picture. They charged me for parking also wasn’t in the description here. The staff is rude to all customers. The other patrons in our building were outside every second smoking pot. There were left overs everywhere and all the tables outside had burn marks. I invited my nephew over he refused to bring his child there because of all the drug users. Which I can’t blame him. I feel I deserve a partial refund because of all of this but doubt it will happen.

Poor service

The room was adequate and clean, and the property is in a great location half a block off the beach & broadwalk. Many rooms have an ocean view as well which is a plus. However, I wouldn’t return or recommend this motel or any of the others under this group, solely on the basis of the rude front desk agents that don’t want to be bothered to do a thing. They don’t greet you and are visibly annoyed while checking you in as you interrupted their work gossip. They hand you a piece of paper at completion of check in without explanation, with the paper including a pseudo map of an 5 block radius. They don’t provide any information about the location of pools that are available on property, or the included breakfast. And when you contact them for more info, you’re met with more attitude as if you should already know as a first time guest. I’ll spend my money elsewhere next time.

The location is great, but that's it.

The location was amazing. A 1 mintue walk to the broadwalk and beach was the selling point here, and honestly the only reason to stay here. We didn't know until we got dropped off that the hotel main office was 3 blocks away for check-in. There was one small sign and it took us quite awhile to see it. Once we made it there, we were given a room in a different hotel (they own a bunch of them in the area, as we found out eventually, but we're not told during check-in, just given our room number and building number even though they all have namesand aren't identified by numbers, at least not clearly). We were given incorrect directions and walked in the wrong direction for a bit until we figured out it was the wrong way. The room wasn't dirty, just clearly a lot of moisture and water damage everywhere. The floors were broken, the curtains in the bedroom didn't fully cover the window so if someone walked behind the building, they could easily see in. There was an AC unit in the bedroom which was nice. The free breakfast was several blocks away, basically bread, 2 kinds of bagels, a croissant, 2 kinds of fruit, 3 cereal dispensers, room temperature cream cheese, american single slices, and hard boiled eggs in a large bowl. We went one time and decided it wasn't worth the walk. So, overall, not a great hotel but the location was amazing if you don't care too much about the things I mentioned.

I liked the closeness to the Broadwalk and Ocean Ave. The staff was friendly and helpful. That's as far as the positives go at Del Mar. The photos online are very deceiving. The first night we were there, a woman was on her hands and knees and pushed our door open that I had left cracked open, as I sat in the patio area outside and my bf was sitting in the couch inside in the living area. Her response was, "Sorry, wrong room." The room we had was noisy and not clean. The room above us had constant walking and talking into late hours. The air conditioner blew a pungent smell, so it was used sparingly and only as desperately needed. We had to kill a cockroach on our kitchen table, so we didn't dare have any food in our room, which ended up costing us a lot more money having to eat out (one of the reasons we chose a room w/a kitchenette was to avoid that). The breakfast offered was less than ideal. No real juice (koolaid like), generic pastries and granola bars and a coffee bar w/ Walmart powdered creamer & sugar and nothing else. The pools were not clean and the areas around them were not kept up well. The buildings in general have gutters that need repair, gates that don't operate properly, just old and need updating overall. Very disappointed and will not stay at another Hollywood Beach Property again. We will stick with other properties on the Broadwalk that we've stayed at in the past.
