It was ok for the price! If I had a companion she would be complaining about the cleanliness and the updates needed! The office was hard to locate! Breakfast was mediocre! I like the fact it was close to beach and the access to the long boardwalk!

Ocean Sound hotel

The Ocean Sound hotel is part of a group of small hotels manage by Hollywood Beach hotels. The hotels are on a great location on the Hollywood Beach area (one block, or on the beach pathway). They share a pool and the location for breakfast. They do not include parking, but for $19 a day they have a place reserved in front of your room.

Price is something trick, it has hidden charges, the staff is very rough, AC did not work, they had a temporary one and they did not want to change the room. Tha beach and walkside is amazing

Check-in was very confusing. The front desk is three blocks down the street, there is no information on where to go, and the front desk phone number is an inactive line. The room was rather marginal but acceptable. A frog lived in the shower while I stayed there, and the breakfast is at a different hotel several blocks away. Overall, I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

We got what we paid for, not the best hotel/ properties. They have multiple buildings with in 2-3 blocks from each other, so check in was in one building and our actual room was 2-3 blocks away. Breakfast was way far in another building. Rooms need maintenance and better set up. Only plus is that it just 1 street away from Hollywood Beach

Not enough stuff on reception (one reception for multiple hotels). You’ll be waiting around one hour in line. Nothing inside the room, I mean nothing, not even plastic glasses (but rooms have a kitchen). But they will charge you extra fee for service, for parking, ect. Yes, they do not disclose all cost up front, they will surprise you on the front desk with multiple new fees after hour waiting in line.

Property is full of roaches,AC did not cool and we were told we would get a new room but we did not. People at the office are rude and condescending. Not worth the money for sleepless summer nights surrounded by roaches and the terrible customer service. We were not even offered a discount for thus problems, we were just offered and was told to wait for a call to change rooms,which never happened.

It was renovated, but they forgot to finish some things. Unit 14 needs: A working exhaust system in the bathroom A way to not have water accumulating all over the bathroom floor in a huge puddle: maybe put a drain in the bathroom floor outside of the shower area (that would fix it and seems like the easiest solution), or a better placed shower head/shower wall, as all the water from the shower goes straight to the floor outside of the shower area. I stayed at other units/buildings of this hotel complex, and this was not a problem anywhere else, just this unit. Also, they forgot to finish the door to the unit, it needs a floor board, or some way to not have a huge gap on the bottom of the entrance door. I staffed used towels in there, but that does not seem right. I should have probably asked them to fix that while I was there, it's probably an easy fix. Housekeeping was thorough and friendly, overall people working there are nice. Great location.
