"There are shops nearby. We were there during the off-season so most shops closed at 4 or 5. The room was clean, the bed and pillows super comfortable. The room also had a microwave and a fridge. That was awesome for leftovers and early- morning breakfasts. The only concern was the hot water didn't seem enough for 2 people to shower. We had to wait about 15 minutes between people for more hot water. The best part of our hotel was it being walking distance to the Nauvoo Temple. Since attending the temple was a key reason for our trip, that proximity was awesome!"

"Well kept, well equipped, well located. Had everything I needed for an impromptu two day getaway. Could’ve easily stayed a week, and while I was alone, I could also see this being an easy place to share with 2 couples and not get on each others’ nerves. Dean was great to deal with, communicated well, and promptly answered any questions I had. Fort Madison itself was a surprise - cool little river town with a friendly vibe. Bet it’s a blast in the spring and summer. Highly recommend. "

"Old motel. Some low budget remodeling happening. The bed was clean bathroom was alittle dirty due to new toliet installed. Im not to picky. Front desk was nice."
