"Over all a nice little place, not to far from the heart of DC"

"Not sure why this place has a resort fee. But maybe because the rooftop was closed out of season while I was there (opens Memorial Day?) The gym is big and well outfitted, but no pool or sauna or even showers outside the main room. There is a restaurant/bar on-site that is nice, but being a guest doesn’t seem to have any benefit. Good location, nice building. Some of the staff were helpful, others seemed overworked or generally put out. We had a major issue with no hot water for several hours which went uncompensated even though I explained I had to take a cold shower to get ready for my event. No attempt to get me to a space with a hot shower available. The nighttime door was locked and keys wouldn’t get us in, so another guest had to let a group of us in, no staff in sight. Made me nervous to go out later, so I stayed in. Pretty room, nice art, overall could be a luxury stay if the staff could keep up with the issues guests experienced."

"Our experience was horrible. We booked only for 1 night and the room beside us, there were 3-4 people talking and laughing the whole night, Since midnight till 8 AM none stop. I called lobby 3 times, and they came to give them notice 2 times. but they weren't listening. It was a horrible night and we both didn't sleep even 5 mints. and in the next morning we went to eat breakfast at the restaurant located in the lobby and although they had at least 6 empty and clean tables they said we should wait at least 20 mints and finally after 30 mints they let us to sit which it was unreasonable. The lady said her manager asked for waiting list and other guests were so upset as well. won't book this hotel anymore."

"Old property; could do with a facelift. Carpets were old and dated. Lack of coffee brewing option in room was a drag. However, lots of cool food places around hotel."

"Not too clean, bed sheets smells, the weed odor all over the place is disgusting, even the reception lobby smelled. Definitely not coming back. "

"Room was clean staff very friendly but it was very noisy due to people in the halls, we checked in & left room only to check out people putting cigarettes out on the floor in the back of lobby approached by people who didn’t seem to be staying in hotel. Thank you to registration staff & security for stopping this & respecting privacy!"

"I actually ended up staying in the basement unit for this listing, which was significantly better, it had its own exit so I did not have to enter/exit through owner's front door. It was an extra 10/day, and I highly recommend it. Very large and clean unit, nice hot shower (just a bit dark in the toilet and shower area, only issue), nice neighborhood, 1 mile to Columbia Heights metro, next to Rock Creek Park for hiking"
