"Very cool retro feel- gave us the Marfa feel"

"Our group of 6 chose to stay at Mark's place to be near the BBNP entrance, but that didn't work out quite right for us. Location is ~18 miles down a narrow, winding, lonely road off the main hwy. Then about another 5 miles of dirt road to get to Casa de Chiles. Mark greeted us as we drove up in the early evening. Communication was great and his place is quite clean with some super comfortable beds. Not the best place for basecamp, but a good choice if you're looking to stay somewhere and...

"Excellent location and hard to beat on price. The only quibble is the shower head needs to be swapped out, it's pretty much only allows just a dribble of water to come out. Probably just a hardware/sediment issue."

"With a goal to hike the Davis Mountains, I could not have picked a better accommodation. Just minutes from the State Park, and from the lovely downtown of Ft. Davis, it was also quiet and clean and well stocked (thank you for the coffee!!). This is a lovely and warm location and I highly recommend it. "I used to live here, but never knew what these rooms looked like so booked my stay to find out! Just some pros and cons for future visitors to consider: Pros: The bed and sheets were so so cozy and comfortable. I have a very bad back and was nervous the bed wouldn’t be firm enough when I sat on it, but it did me just fine. The sheets were soft and now I’m going to buy my own set now that I know how they feel! Coffee maker and mini fridge in the room. I only found utensils after I needed them,...

"We loved the Studio in Alpine! Clean and convenient we walked to dinner downtown and it was a great base for adventure at Big Bend and Ft Davis. We could have used more towels and washcloths. I would have liked a reading lamp by the comfy chair and larger furniture outside on the adorable patio. The table and chairs were diminutive. But overall a good stay!"
