"I didn't think hotels even had rooms anymore that didn't have a mini fridge and a microwave but this place sure didn't! And the cleanliness in my room was awful. Some kind of stuff stuck on the tv stand, mold in the sink, my shower didn't drain and a cover was half way on that kept falling off. Major updates are needed here. Even the door hinges are so rusty they get wet and drip down the wall. The tv was so glitchy it wasn't even worth turning on. I'd never stay here again! Also, beds were not comfortable and the one I slept in wasn't even level!"

"The rooms are old and outdated. The property itself is gorgeous. Food was excellent. The staff were ok. Some rude. Some ok. Some were friendly. "

"I was totally shocked when they gave me my room. It was an outside room 😳like a motel. All of the other people in my party had inside rooms but somehow I ended up outside. I didn’t understand that. I inquired at the front desk and they told me there were no inside rooms left even though my reservation was made well in advance. The room was clean. The smoke will kill you when you walk outside from people standing outside smoking. I requested a non-smoking room, but it might as well have been smoking since you could smell it from the outside. The fire alarm went off, everyone evacuated. Upon checking out, I asked the front staff if they found out what the problem was, and she told me they had no idea. Their concern is what puzzled me! I saw no one in charge (fire marshal) or any hotel staff to come through to clear the evacuation. no security cameras around that I saw, and it was just overall not a good fit for me personally, I won’t stay there again."

"If you're up for some unplanned exploration, stay here. The front desk forgot to mention my room was in a totally different building. After a hike to get there, I discovered my pull out bed was missing linens. Then, after multiple phone calls, endless promises, and a 45 minute wait, I went back downstairs, where they claimed they didn't have any to give me, and told me to just wait in my room for them to be delivered. Imagine my surprise when a very nice security guard walked out with the exact linens I needed right from behind that same desk. It was a wonderful ending to driving 15 hours, ready to go to sleep, only to have to wait another hour before I actually could."

"The water park is seasonal, and the pool was uncomfortably cold. We booked the room thinking the water park was open and parking is hard to find."

"Place was in a great location and easy to get it in and out of the park and also close to starlight theater and other places to eat. Highly recommend Big Bend Station. We will be back. "
