"My wife had wanted to visit DC and the surrounding areas for several years so we opted to stay at this property northeast of the National Mall.The location is great. It is a reasonable walk to the Capitol and the Mall. The property is also a short walk to many excellent eateries. (Unfortunately many of the museums were closed due to the government shutdown, but we had a great time nonetheless.)I found our host to be helpful and quick to respond to questions through-out our visit. "Overall, this flat offered all we were looking for, a great price close to all the sights we were hoping to see. I assumed because it was a 3rd floor unit that there was an elevator, I was wrong. My husband is disabled so my own fault for not asking the question prior to booking. We didn't spend much time going up and down the stairs, and grandkids came in handy to retrieve meal deliveries. "The accommodations were excellent. Lots of space for me and family of four children. Love the amenities, including the washer and dryer, and dishwasher. The major drawback for me is that it is in a rough neighborhood. I understand that DC is undergoing gentrification, but I did not expect to experience people hanging out on the corner just across the apartment all times of day and night.
