"A gorgeous, jaw dropping hotel! The area around the hotel is very busy and honestly, somewhat unkept. We expected a little more out of this section of Montevideo. Still, it is very easy to access the BUQUE BUS terminal and the main bus terminal from here. The hotel itself is gorgeous and in stunning condition, with amazing, friendly staff. Again, we were disappointed with the area surrounding the hotel, but that is on us. The hotel itself is absolutely impeccable. "

"I was happy with the room. The hotel is located across from a little square. There was not a lot of car or foot traffic outside. The location is good for visiting the Ciudad Vieja. I was also able to walk to the Buquebus which goes to Buenos Aires. "

"The hotel is inside an old bulding and they have maintained its old character -the floors; toilets, elevators, and the rooms themselves all keep the look from old times. It’s okay during the day, as the area around it is busy, but it can feel a bit unsafe at night, as the area empties and some homeless people stay around. I didn’t like the fact that whenever leaving the hotel -for example when going for a walk- one has to leave the room key, and then upon return, walk to the reception and...

"This was the worst hotel I’ve booked through Expedia ever. It says hot tub on site on Expedia and it says it on their website as well. You get there there is no hot tub. We were told that it closed during the pandemic so at least five years ago. It’s kind of fraudulent to advertise a hot tub that doesn’t even exist. Also, Expedia says you get 20% off the restaurant well guess what there is no restaurant. This is another lie. They have breakfast in the morning, but that’s only if you paid for it....

"It was a good location for the old town. During the day there are several restaurants open, but after 6 pm the choices nearby are limited. Our first room had a strong cigarette smell, but the staff moved us with no issue the next morning to a clean room. "
