"A very clean, tidy and comfortable 3 star hotel that I surmise is family owned and possibly operated. I stayed out of season in April and it was very quiet. The breakfast is continental: mini croissants and viennoiserie ( chocolate and fruits), chocolate biscuits, fruit juices, cappuccino, espresso, cakes, tarts and tiny packs of Italian toast to enjoy with excellent butter and jams. There were some Italian businessmen staying and I feel that this kind of fayre is what is expected. There are no chilled charcuterie that the Germanics and Norse curiously find appetising at 7am. The room was very clean, the shower gel was a standard hospitality product ( this is not Forte Dei Marmi with its seaweed olive oil local product linkups). The shower was powerful, hot and the towels fluffy and white. There was some noise from a local apartment where a party was held that annoyed me at 2330 hours but reception was correct when I was assured the cacophony would cease at midnight. It did. All in all, a pleasant stay and very welcoming and professional Italian staff offering their Apulia version of the hospitality for which Italy is world famous. "

"This property is located on an olive farm surrounded by the olive trees and stone walls as far as the eye can see. The Trullo and the main house are set apart from each other on either side of a stone patio with a large outdoor dining table, a stone pizza oven at the end of the trull and an outdoor fireplace. We made pizzas one night and another great fire pit night chatting and drinking wine around the fireplace. Behind the main house overlooking the farm is the beautiful pool and another covered outdoor eating area. Inside the house is beautiful. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and utensils, there are newer AC/heat units in most of the rooms. It would get quite chilly at night as we were there in march, so those heat units came in handy. And super comfortable beds. The trullo is quite dark during the day as there are no windows except on the entry doors, but we used it for sleeping only, so it worked out perfect for us. It is still very modern and beautiful inside. It is located in a great area accessible to Ostuni (which we chose as our primary city for dinners and such) and also San Michele Salentino. Groceries were nearby as well, and a great farmers market on Saturday morning. You can miss it. We bought huge artichokes and cooked them for dinner. So good! Marco was our offsite main contact and he was very responsive, and Guiseppe was the farmer who met us at the property and couldn't have been nicer! Highly recommend!"

"We are not novices to tourism-we drove in Turkey, Greece, visited Europe by rail. However, not knowing the meaning of Italian road signs/addresses, combined with unremarkable, high above the road signage for Masseria Nuovo, we drove anxiously up & down the country road looking for its one-lane dirt track turn off among many others along the road. The host simply handed us a key, indicated 8pm dinner. An early afternoon arrival left us hungry due to the property’s unavailable restaurant. We had to backtrack to find lunch. Sava, the nearest town was small & typically closed from 12pm-4pm, finally finding only gelato.The major town Francavilla Fontana was farther away. Our plan for staying at a masseria was to relax from the stress of driving/parking in Italian towns. By the dinner hour, hunger added to our stress. The menu was only in Italian. If you cater to tourists from other countries, you should accommodate their language. Also, the language barrier with the waiter/host was frustrating. The meal however, once decided upon, was adequately prepared. Disappointingly, there were no other guests during our stay. We had hoped to mingle, meet other people. Typical Italian breakfast was suitable. Had there not been the strain of trying to negotiate the region’s unfamiliar roads, customs & language, our experience may have been different, but we didn’t encounter such difficulties with lodging elsewhere in our two week trip in Puglia. As advertised, Nuovo itself was satisfactory."

"Wonderful place for a relaxing holiday. Very pleasant place with friendly service. They took extra effort to arrange for an English speaking gentleman, Cosimo, to check us in and he gave us some background of the Messeria. Breakfast was great. Dinner was better. Nice setting and great food."
