  • The Surf Shack has a really great vibe and is FULLY RENOVATED for 2025’ Open living room with large kitchen table. Two rooms. Brand new bathroom with washer and dryer. Plenty of outdoor seating upstairs and downstairs to take in the best views of Surfside Beach. Heated outdoor shower. What more can you ask for? Oceanfront location with 2 minute walk to a pedestrian beach.

The view was fabulous. Be aware that there is not much beach there. But convenient if you want the water.

This house is awesome! It’s literally oceanfront. There’s a road in front of it and then the ocean. You can watch ships come in and out of the jetty! My wife loved to sit on the deck and just watch the ships or the waves. My kids loved just being here and got up every morning and waved to the people coming by and at the people fishing on the beach!

This was a very cosy home. It was nice being able to sit on the porch with the ocean view. There is a small beach about 5 a minute walk to the west, and a bigger beach 10 min walk to the east. The house listing advertises an outside shower but we only found a hose to rinse off with (not a deal breakers for us). There are plenty of dishes to cook with and the home was clean. Only having one bathroom was a little rough for this family of four, but we figured it out. All in all we had a wonderful weekend and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

The view is incredible and in reality that’s what you are paying for. The house was neat and tidy. There were a couple items in the description of the home that were not accurate and may affect someone’s stay. The description states there is a fire pit We were unable to locate the fire pit it also stated there was an outdoor shower. There is an old rusty shower head that is not hooked up to anything. There was a garden hose. The listing also stated there was a futon in the living room. This is where the kids were going to sleep but there is no futon only a couch and two chairs. While overall we enjoyed this property they really should update their listing to be more accurate

Family at the Beach!

This house was magical . The view from the deck makes it worth it. That view was everything you could spend hours seating out there . The house was super clean . Everything thing you could ever need made us feel very welcomed. I had a question about the amount of stairs there where having an elderly person with me . The owners reached and let me know how easy it was to get in . One flight of stairs. Five star review from me. I will stay there again.

View and location were amazing. Had to ask for hand and face towels. Light and fan in bedroom ran from remote which had a dead battery. Informed host but did not receive assistance. It was not a standard battery. We offered to install if Amazon delivered but host did not assist. Beds had rough crinkly plastic covers on mattresses. We were afraid to remove covers in fear of what the mattresses might be hiding. Did not sleep well on our retreat. Host did not mention that you cannot drink the water in the ad. There was a sign inside the unit. Had to make a quick run for water immediately. Though newly remodeling, it is still old and not clean. It is one of the more expensive units we have rented in the area, but worth the extra money.
