"Breakfast was included but rarely any choice. If something ran out, it wasn't topped up. Had a boiled egg once in 6 days! No air conditioning or fan in the room. It was a small room with no air circulation in 34° heat, it was terrible. The staff/owners couldn't speak English so I couldn't tell them the problems. I would definitely not go back here or recommend it to anyone. Worst stay in a long time."

"A unique setting in a beautiful area. The hotel is located right next to the Rhine River in a scenic location where the river moves rapidly with a soothing sound. The view also includes a small island that is a pedestrian park. The surrounding historic center city is well preserved and gives you a real feeling for what the area looked like in the Middles Ages. Furnishings are dimple but comfortable. The hotel restaurant is good, but expensive, and there are many other dining choices nearby. The...

"Only one night but loved it. I arrived late from Italy to Zurich to Basel to Lörrach and was so worried when the door was locked after hours. But I rang the bell and a key came out of the box. Finally a night manager came to help me bring in my luggage and I had an amazing sleep after a long day of travel. The breakfast was delicious. Scrambled eggs and croissants and coffee. I wish I could have stayed another night but they’re booked so I moved a couple blocks over to Hotel Stadt."
