"Accommodations are basic and a bit rundown. However, affordable dog friendly places to stay are limited, so we really appreciate Kaikeibo for providing us with this important option. It was an easy drive to Kansai Airport too."

I was pleasantly surprised with our stay. It was much nicer than I had expected and with the included breakfast buffet that had so many choices from something western to eating like a Japanese person would with local fruits and dishes. The room was comfortable and clean and with a castle view... highly recommended. There were nice restaurants in the building and we were close to many things including a bus stop to get around if taxis aren't in your budget. Wakayama city is a very different...

Very friendly staff at check in. Walkable from Wakayamashi station. The area is a fun little section of the city with a lot of character. Plenty of hole in the wall eateries and small bars. I found some live music clubs to check out right around the corner. There are a few shopping streets to walk that arenāt focused on tourism. Good local feel if you want to escape the tourist or business vibe.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room is super clean and appears to be newly renovated. The shower is not spacious but very comfortable with strong water flow. The courtyard is absolutely beautiful. We stayed for one night before our morning flight and it fits this purpose really well.
