The property is very clean and staff is very friendly and helpful. The dinner is excellent. The dishes included lots of local seafood, beef and produces.

Hanamurasaki is beautiful in almost every way. The rooms are huge and gorgeous, everything is spotlessly clean, and the location relative to the river and the rest of town is perfect. Our room had a private outdoor mineral bath. Yes, it’s very expensive, but we definitely feel like it was a worthy experience. This is the most beautiful ryokan we have ever stayed at. The food was delicious with a great variety and the staff explained the menu. The owner came to greet us at dinner and as we were leaving, it was great to meet her. The rooms were amazing and well put together with so many thoughtful touches. If you looking for a quiet family oriented place for 1-2 nights outside Kyoto with a Ryokan and privacy. This is the place. Bring lots of games and books, nice walks along the river. It is not a large hotel and it is not easy to get to. But the right circumstances make this a perfect experience.

The one night stay at this Japanese onsen hotel was very pleasant. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Staff were very helpful and courteous. The hotel is only 20 minutes by bullet train from Kanazawa train station. Hotel provided free shuttle pick up from the Kaga Onsen train station.

I cannot recommend this place enough! It was so relaxing, beautiful, and the staff was incredible! They offer traditional and local breakfast and dinner that rivaled Michelin star restaurants! It was our first Ryokan experience but definitely will not be our last now. Such an incredible place!

Just wonderful. Beautiful traditional elegant inn with old school Japanese omotenashi. Loved the warmth of the staff. Service was top notch without being pretentious. Unreal location near everything.
