Unexpectedly wonderful gem in the countryside. Everything is first class. The wellness area and restaurant are top quality. The staff are helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and charming. All of this in a quiet and beautiful rural setting. We will certainly stay there again when in the area!

Hotel Herzog Georg is a real gem hidden in rural Germany. The size of room is larger than a standard European room and we were very happy to have 2 large size doubles for my wife and 15 yr old son. Breakfast was massive European style and quality was superb. Lots of walking opportunities around town with site seeing and hiking just a short drive away. Beautiful place and suroundings.

The service was amazing and the food was delicious. Everyone from the owners who made you feel like family to all the servers were excellent. The owners spoke English. Although Steffi did not speak a lot of English she tried and always had a smile and was delightful. The tub was an unexpected surprise but a very good surprise. There was also a shower. I highly recommend this gasthof and if we come back we will definitely stay here again.

The Owner/Reception guy? spoke perfect English and explained everything in detail for us. Great place for an overnight as we traveled along the Fairytale villages in Central Germany.

Uber-friendly service and in good condition. Smaller hotel with about 20 rooms. Liked it!

Same for the garage charges, slightly less than the hotel in Frankfurt. 13 euros extra per day and that was an unexpected cost when you expect it to be part of the hotel price.
