Furusund mill is a windmill located at Kvarnberget in Furusund in the Blidö parish in Norrtälje municipality, Stockholm County. The mill was probably built in 1722 and was renovated in 1960 and 2009.

During a thorough renovation and reconstruction 1960-1961 Hammers was rebuilt and the mill was restored to its original condition. The mill was revived in 1961 under the influence of, among others, Evert Taube. In 1985, the mill was reminiscent of being "extremely strange", with the reason that in the archipelago of Stockholm only a few postpegs remain, which can preserve the memory of the days of construction. After a long period of maturity, the County Administrative Board in Stockholm County demanded a refurbishment of the mill which was carried out in late 2009.

"Lovely location beautiful views from the cottage and on a clear day or night it's breathtaking You'll need a car as it's a bit remote but that's part of its charm"

"It was terrible. The description described another house which is next to the ones you're getting. You get three separate houses in which you can sleep in. They are messy, dirty and uncomfortable. You don't get a blanket or a pillow. Also the door leading to the terass is broken and they fixed it with a lath to prevent people from come in. Definitely not worth the money. We left and try to get our money back."

Heaven on earth

"We were an eclectic group of nine staying in the house and guest cottage. The property is gorgeous and has absolutely everything you could need. It's instantly relaxing and very comfortable. You can feel all the love that has gone into the property as soon as you walk through the door. The surrounding countryside and the beach nearby are breathtaking and all just an hour from central Stockholm. Thank you Therese."

"This hotel is a gem! Although our stay was short we really enjoyed the hotel and we would definitely come back if we return to the area. It’s located in a small island with many activities to enjoy- walk, jog, swim, go to the spa. We booked a room overlooking the water and it was extremely nice and quiet. The room had a good size and the bathroom was clean and nice. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. "
