This hotel was beautiful, but the road to get there may not be worth it. It eventually turns into a dirt road and it can be dangerous. It is a very long way up the mountain. The only way to get there is a tuktuk or scooter, but that still could be dangerous. Just know that it is a long way out of Kandy.

It is my second stay at Galavilla. I love this place so much. I was happy that the hotel is well developt. I feel as a home. The morning view form the room is realy breathtaking. The hotel is open around 5 years but still everythings is as new.I never see it in another hotels in Sri Lanka. I can recomend everyone who like nature and relax.

Tranquility

If you appreciate nature, tranquility and real downtime, then Galavilla is for you. It is worth every minute drive on real bumpy road up to mountains, yes its hard to reach but who said good things come easy? When you reach you feel you have landed in paradise. Service is impeccable, especially in the restaurant. All the fruits and veggies are coming straight from their beautiful garden. If you book, 2 nights is minimum, with one you will not really get the taste of it.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING.... this place is pure bliss. Do not be put off by other reviews regarding the location. The drive is fine and safe and you will see beautiful views on the way up. The food and service is great and the views and pool are magnificent. I cannot wait to return to this steal of a resort.

Nicely remote hotel

Location quite remote, trip to Kandy takes about 45 min. But peace and nature around compensates it. Very beautiful garden and friendly staf. We enjoyed our 4 night stay!

This is hotel is exactly the place where I could relax. Enjoyed their excellent service, very tasty food, and even Spa facilities. Not to far from Kandy City centre. I was seraching for place to clean up my mind and Galavilla is exactly that place. Can only recommend to those who wants relax and confort and good service.

Relax and comfort stay

Very nice place. Staff is very friendly. Very good restaurant and SPA. Big and clean swimming pool and beautiful garden. The hotel has unigue design. Every room is different and rooms are very big and comfortable. Quiet place with nice view.

Beautiful hotel situated on a mountain top. Has great views of the surrounding valleys.
