Newly Remodeled Front/Hall Bath and Master Bath 2024

Escape from work, home, and headaches to a beautiful 3 bedrooms 2 1/2 bath remodeled Galveston cottage with all the great comforts of home! Private master suite with outside deck and pool access. Sorry, it is not a heated pool.

Enjoy a brief walk to the seawall and you will find the groomed beach, Pleasure Pier, restaurants, bars, retail stores, and many other fun activities for the entire family. Approximately 2 miles to the strand where you can enjoy great dining and shopping! The trolley is now operating and will provide transportation to many areas of the island. Please visit Galveston.com for all your informational and event needs.

Our home will accommodate up to 8 people without feeling crowded. We have a king-sized bed in the master, a queen bed in the front bedroom, and a bunk room with 3 twin beds. A twin "Murphy" bed in the dining room. There is a tub/shower in the master bathroom and a large shower in the second bathroom.

Enjoy free high-speed Wi-Fi during your stay! We have a 60" Smart TV with streaming Netflix, Pandora, and other on-demand services in the living room. There is a large HD Smart TV in the master and a gaming TV in the bunk room.

Parking for the home will be in the long narrow driveway along the side of the house. Also, there is parking along the street with no permit required.

Key-less entry into the home, tank-less hot water heater (never run out of hot water!), front-load W/D, Ninja blender, games, covered wood deck with gas grill, and completely private backyard!

A Breeze Away was designed to relax, enjoy, and have lots of FUN!

Nightly rental fee
Cleaning Fee - $175
State and City Hotel Taxes of 15% Total. HomeAway collects both as a separate
charge on your quote.
A non-refundable pet fee of $75 for the first pet, $100 for 2. IF you bring a pet, and we have a 2 pet maximum. Just select the Pet option when booking for 1 pet,
otherwise please let us know and we can invoice you for your pets.
A VRBO service fee. This is a percentage of your rental fee set by VRBO.
Guests will purchase insurance for the home to cover damages. The cost is $79

The gas grill is located at the bottom of the deck. Please clean it after each use. This will help housekeeping, but more importantly will allow the next guest to be ready to grill when they arrive, as for you. IF you run out of propane please let Richard know. We do try to have an extra on hand at the home, however, we can NOT guarantee this.

The A/C unit....With the high humidity we get here during the summer months, if the temp on the thermostat is set to 71 or below, the unit will freeze. Please do not go below 71. With the ceiling fans running and the temp at 72, the house is wonderfully cool.

Please note, on certain days the pool company will come into the driveway gate to service the pool. It is usually in the morning about 9 am. Also, housekeeping could show up at 11 am on departure days, especially if another guest is checking that afternoon.
As a courtesy to our neighbors, we cannot allow prom parties, graduation parties, or young spring breakers. You must be 25 years of age to reserve the home.

To decrease litter on the beach and protect marine life, the City of Galveston has implemented a City Ordinance (No 19-017 Secs 8-27) that states all items left on the beach after sunset will be discarded. The Galveston Park Board strictly enforces the ordinance.

Winter Guests are most welcome.

During Hurricane Season....You will only receive a full refund if there is a named Category 1 or higher named storm in the Gulf of Mexico and it is directed at Galveston.

After a deposit is made, you will receive a Pre-Arrival Letter with much more information about the home. Especially how to gain access.

Cancellation/Refund policy -

If you must cancel, we ask that you do so at least 30 days before your arrival date to receive a full refund.

Darling House!

Loved the property! The pool was everything. We liked the location in the historic district. Perhaps add suction grab bars in the big bathroom. Richard was the best!

Quiet retreat

The house is clean and well laid out. The pool is nice and a great way to relax each day. The patio is a great relaxing space. The neighborhood was quiet and convenient to everything on the island. We would stay here again.

Love the pool!

This trip was a quick getaway, we usually stay in a beach house on the beach. For a last minute booking, this house was great. The beach was not far, quick ride to the strand and the Seawall. The pool was relaxing and nice! The house was updated, beds were comfortable, and everything we needed was available. The only downside was the very narrow drive way, our big SUV was a tricky spot to park.

Family Weekend

We came to visit our son at A&M Galveston for the Family Weekend. This house was perfect for us!! The decor and character of the house was absolutely charming. We loved the spaciousness which allowed all of us to just relax and recharge - which was perfect for our Sea Aggie. The kitchen allowed room for 3 of us to prepare different courses of our meal while the others played games in the living room. Two other family members were in town as well (staying elsewhere) and came over to join us for dinner. All 8 of us sat outside comfortably with the pool in the background. That was an extra touch of calmness to round out our stay. We will definitely recommend this property.

Christmas Family Vacation

Visited Island to go to Moody Garden's Festival of Lights. Choose home because it accommodates large families and has games along with large gated backyard for kids to run around. Love that the property is gated with parking options on the street in front of home, in front driveway and also several vehicles can be locked inside back yard by driving thru remote controlled gate. BIG dining table allowed for us all to sit down to eat meals that we cooked in the home. We also enjoyed sitting on the front porch and walking up and down side-walk (big backyard deck also). Home is beautifully decorated with a very inviting feel. I am considering a summertime girls' trip in the future here.

A Breeze Away

The location was convenient to beach and restaurants and entertainment. Loved having a pool on site that was clean and outdoor space well kept. Kitchen was well stocked and bathrooms very nice.

Great Weekend

We thought the house and pool were fantastic. Lots of room and privacy for everyone. The property owners thought of everything. The bathrooms were so pretty. Pool noodles were provided. Nice lounge chairs and outdoor eating area with ceiling fans. Of course, it’s August in Texas so pool was warm but that’s to be expected. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book here again.

Home is well-located and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. Our party included a one-year-old, and we were counting on the home having a high chair or booster seat since it was listed. It did not. We made due. That is the reason for the 4 stars on the question about the accuracy of the listing.

This house is located close to everything that Galveston has to offer. It's FULLY stocked. You will have all that you need and more! It's conveniently located to many activities and you can even walk to the Seawall. If we come back, we'd stay again!

Cute home

We enjoyed the pool and the house is absolutely adorable! Having 3 bathrooms was a big plus with a group of girls! It was located close to everything, just a couple blocks off the sea wall, and close to pleasure pier. Parking is really tight but we played car tetris and made it work!

My husband and I decided that we needed a weekend away and this little house fit the bill perfectly. There was plenty of room for more friends and family, but it was just the two of us. We grilled, floated, beached, walked, napped, and just enjoyed the island. Nice neighborhood. We would stay there again!

Nice stay

We had a nice stay in Galveston. The house was fine. Only issue was that, due to the recent drought conditions there were some ants in the house. They were promptly addressed after we contacted the manager and weren't an issue after that. The house is cute and not too far from the beach.

Not as advertised

If you’re looking for a nice pool and a hot shower then this is the place. If you’re looking for a good location this is not it. Terrible neighborhood with barking dogs, grouchy neighbors and just overall sketchy. If you’re looking for a clean home this is not it. Ants everywhere!!! Especially in the kitchen. Couldn’t prepare food without fighting the ants. Also found them in one bed. If you’re looking for a host that cares you’re having a terrible experience this is not it. Besides the ants the house was not clean and smelled musty. We arrived home at midnight only to have the passcode not work. Oh and it’s too hot in Texas to not have an air conditioner that cools effectively. I’ve stayed at many VRBO locations and this is the only one I wouldn’t recommend or reserve again.
