It s located well outside Kandy and which was great after the visit of Kandy town with all the traffic and noises. Coming back to the hotel was so relaxing . The room is quite big and very clean. "The hotel has been leased to some NGO's for the last 6 mnths and they are in the process of getting it back on it's feet. It hurts me to say as the owners and staff are very nice people but I have to be honest. The position is good in as much as it is quiet but it's a 10 minute walk to a reasonable selection of shops and perhaps 20 minutes to town. "We stayed in the Araliya Suite 24.2-27.2. Which was absolutely spotless and modern. We loved having our own private pool, sauna, and river view, where we even went swimming a few times. The staff was incredibly friendly, especially Indunil. He arranged an adventure for us to the waterfalls, a short jungle hike, and also acted as a guide to a nearby cave. He also guided us to safely swim at the waterfall behind the hotel. And to top it all off, he arranged a candlelight dinner by the river! Five...
