The hotel is a 200 yr old house about 5 min ride from Temple of the Tooth Relic. It’s a small gate and not very walkable around. Staff are lovely but don’t speak much English so sometimes things get confused. I did find a candy wrapper under my bed (I don’t eat candy) so not sure how great housekeeping is but our sheets, towels and robes were lovely and clean. They have an assortment of great tea in the room and the house is very comfortable.

Amazing place!

Only spent one night, family of four. When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by the lovely staff, served tea and asked about our dinner preferences. The place is marvelous - a tranquil oasis - the weather wasn't great, but it must be even more magical when the sun is out. We relaxed in the pool and enjoyed some wine in the courtyard, which is absolutely beautiful. Dinner was amazing, and the staff very attentive to our needs and questions. Breakfast another 5-star experience, they even packed up some extra croissants for our day trip. This was a hotel to remember!

Amazing Taru Villas

Fantastic hotel, beautiful room, super staff and service. The food concept was amazing🙏 Only issue was a to much humidity and that room 1 was not cleared for this. Amazingly quiet staying at the hotel, with the very high trafic by the road in front of the hotel. And that the train passed the just behind the hotel. We didn’t hear a thing👏We stayed in other Taru Villa - a great hotel chain of special small hotels. Can highly recommend!!

Beautiful and genuine hotel

We celebrated New Year’s Eve here and had a wonderful 24h at this hotel. The staff is super friendly, the restaurant offers a wide variety of good food, and the whole atmosphere at the hotel is calm, inviting and welcoming. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and we got an outdoor “living room” outside our room, right by the pool. We will be back if we/when we come back to Kandy

Il servizio, l’accoglienza eccellente! Prodotti per la doccia molto buoni. Il cenone di capodanno che ci hanno offerto è stato impeccabile! Rimasto senza parole non appena messo piede in questo posto. La colazione eccellente! Lo chef è davvero in gamba, i pancake erano buonissimi, ne avrei mangiati ancora di più se non fossi stato così sazio!
