Check in was a 4 pm. I was not able to get my room until they called at 4:52 to tell me it was ready. On Sunday night there was a reception that was playing music so loud it was vibrating the tv. I was on the third floor. The music lasted at this inappropriate level until 12am. I completely support an event having a party and fun but to allow this noise level until 12 am is unacceptable at a hotel like this. Staff did not address the concern. The hotel was overall nice and rooms were clean.

The rooms have been remodelled since we stayed There previously. The bathroom is clean but small and very little space to place items. While the accommodations are good it seemed a bit sparse. No pencil, paper or extra soap. Only 2 towels per set and when we needed more, the maids were reluctant to hand them out. There was only one elevator in service the entire 5 nights we were there. Restaurants were excellent but limited wine menu. When the door opens into the bathroom, the doorknob lock button hits the rubber wall bumper causing it to be pushed into a locked position. When the door then closes , it locks whether or not your in the bathroom. This is dangerous especially if there is a child or if the person in the bathroom needs assistance. The newly painted door to the room stuck and was difficult to open (even after we reported it). Window drapes should overlap.

We stayed at the Garden City Hotel this past weekend and what a beautiful facility. The staff was cordial and the room was clean with plenty of room to move around. The bathroom was well appointed and sizable. I would gladly stay again. The staff was accommodating as we arrived early and there were no rooms readily available. They stored our luggage and got us in before 4pm.

Good stay, housekeeping was lacking however. Room was not thoroughly cleaned. Some towels were replaced, while others were left behind. Garbage and used cups were left in room. My room was close to the elevator and for both nights people made the area near the elevator a lounge so it was very noisy. Had to call to complain
