"Stayed here in November 2023 and the only issue then was the plug release in the bath was broken. We stayed again in the same room September 2024 and they have still not fixed the plug release I had to get a teaspoon and pry it open!! Apart from that the food is fantastic and service brilliant. Sad to see the Candal factory has gone under after 50 years. We will be back might try a different room next time. "

"Plenty of off street parking at no extra charge. A little out of town but only a 20 minute walk in to Chester centre or a £5 Uber. Co-op nearby for supplies. Room warm and clean. Perhaps a little more water pressure on the shower but still serviceable. Did not dine here but looked like usual pub grub on offer in any other Greene King outlet. Would certainly stay here again if back in Chester for the races or any other reason. Summing it up, a pleasurable, safe stay. Thank you team...

"One night stay along with our 15yr old son. All 3 of us stayed in the same room which was very spacious, set out lovely and very clean. We were impressed with the decor and fealt comfortable right from first entering. Yes it could do with a bit of an update but nothing to worry about at all. The management and staff couldn’t be more helpful during our stay right from checking in to having a bite to eat and a few drinks in the bar. We were met by a tall young woman who was very welcoming and friendly and I was invited to complete details into a machine, then asked to pay the cost of the accommodation there and then. I explained that I had already done so with Hotels.com.Our room was situated over the bar area. The room was an adequate clean twin bedded space.
