"Fantastic location warm welcome and guided tour, the room was superb and the bed comfy, short walk into town 300m lots of dining options, the breakfast was good with lots of choices and cooked to order Would recommend to family and friends A home away from home"

"The Ivory Haus is a really cool place to stay. When you enter, there are log fires burning, friendly and attentive staff and a view over the bay from the 2 story outdoor terrace area. We were also given a free upgrade to a lovely spacious suite. The food and drinks are also great so we felt no need to go anywhere else at night"

"The staff made such a fuss of us it was our 50th wedding anniversary and they could not of done more to make it special for us The lovely young man on reception upgraded our room and gave us a great gin and tonic and the customer relations lady was lovely and Abby our waitress in the gannet restaurant all looked after us fantastically they are à credit to the hotel When we got to our lovely heritage room there was a bottle of bubbly waiting for us And when we went to dinner in the gannet restaurant there was a card signed by all staff members and a wedding photo they had put in a frame which my sister had sent Thank you to Jessica for doing that my sister commented on our lovely you were also If you want to go to an hotel and be made to feel very special go to Protea in Mossel bay thanks again to all you lovely people xxxx"

"This was a great hotel to land for a couple nights in Plettenberg. The staff was delightful especially upon our arrival we were a bit frazzled from a long drive and Kima greeted us to help us Park and get our bags to our room. The in Hotel restaurant is excellent, we ate the oxtail and the breakfast is fabulous. Two doors away is a place called 11 that we rented bikes from. The property is clean and we had a City View Suite that had plenty of room to spread out and a balcony. The property is clean and has excellent security! We would absolutely stay here again."

"This hotel was incredible. The location is excellent, the hotel itself is quite interesting and there are many places to explore, the food and drink were excellent - as were the staff who provided them, the room was remarkable. This is a must-stay hotel if you are considering staying in the area. I would return in a heartbeat if travels bring me there - and I would bring as many as I could."
