"Compared to some places, the bed was clean. But the other stuff was not very clean, specially the rug inside the room was very dirty and ripped off. Since I was there for two nights, I just ignored it. Generally they could do better."

"We needed a place to stay in the Fitchburg area for one night and found the listing for the Howarth House B&B. The pictures online looked nice so we thought we’d give it a try. This place was absolutely beautiful! We arrived just at dusk, and the whole house & yard were illuminated with tiny lights. My first impression was that it looked like an enchanted cottage from a fairytale. Sara, the Host met us at the door and gave us a tour of the downstairs before leading us to our room. It was even more beautiful inside than it was outside. There was a common area downstairs with a variety of snacks and drinks available. Both hot and cold beverages were available as well as adult beverages. There was a fire going in the fireplace in the living room, and the whole downstairs was decorated beautifully for the season. Sara was about to show us the breakfast menu when we told her that sadly we would be leaving at 5 am for the airport. She told us to feel free to come down and get coffee and a snack in the morning before leaving. She offered us suggestions as to where to go for dinner in town, but we had brought our dinner with us, so she showed us to the dining area and told us to make ourselves at home. Sara was warm and welcoming, willing to chat, but not intrusive. Our room was beautiful and cozy, with a very comfortable bed and a full bathroom with a jetted tub. I wish we had been able to spend more time there, and I will definitely return should we we be in the area again."

"Nice cottage on the lake. Cottage is small as advertised, but is clean and has updated kitchen & bath. Watch your head if you sleep in the loft! The furniture is OK but would be nice if updated. Some of the blinds are in need of repair. Convenient to Wachusett Mountain. Would rate 9/10 overall."

"The cabin was exactly as advertised. It's small - but you know that going into it! The bathroom and kitchenette were clean, the hosts were responsive, and the check in/out instructions were clear and easy to follow. The mattress is quite soft, which for some people may be excellent but we prefer firm. The property Is quite private, fairly well maintained, and in a quiet area. There are trails nearby but it's more rural so shops are 10-15 away. The space is pet friendly, but our puppy didn't join us on this trip."
