This cabin is professionally managed by Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals in Gatlinburg, TN. We provide concierge service as well as dispatched maintenance and housekeeping should you need assistance during your stay. Host requires the guest to sign a rental management agreement prior to allowing access to the unit. The agreement details our cancellation policy, terms and conditions. Must be 21 or older to reserve a cabin and person booking my be staying in the cabin.

We provide a starter supply of paper products, detergents and soaps and coffee filters. We do not supply shampoo, conditioner, body wash and there are not pantry items, spices, salt & pepper or coffee included - guests should bring these items.

If I had to do over I would have brought DVD’s (pay attention to the home theater email you receive). Hot tub was great! We weren’t able to get the hot tub temperature to where we wanted it, quick call and the customer service was able to walk me thru the different modes of the hot tub. We are planning on booking this cabin again next year!

A winning hand at Blackjack

Luckily we had great weather and a great place to stay. Blackjack fit our needs completely. There was plenty of room and the house was well stocked for our stay. The location is close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The house was clean and in good condition. The internet was good enough to use streaming services which is a big plus. The only thing that could be better is that the bottom floor could have better climate control. The only time we used the lower level was when we went to the hot tub that was hot and clean. Overall Blackjack was a nice place to stay and I would definitely stay there again.

Nice cabin, but management needs to higher standards & followup

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is fantastic and a short ride to the park entrance as well as local grocery stores and the arts and crats area. The cabin itself is large, and a great place for a large family or multiple families. The downnstaris area is great for kids with 3 sets of bunk beds. We did run into a few issues. The entire cabin had a very strong fish smell in it when we arrived. I imagine this was from the previous guests, but it wasn't neutralized prior to our arrival and was there the entire say. I requested the management to drop off a few candles to try to get rid of the smell and the only option we were offered was for an engineer to come by and spray some dissenfectant spray in the cabin. We were not confortable with the cabin being fumagated while we were in it, also with Covid19 still being active in the area. We were notifed the day we were planning on arriving that the arcade game was broken and would't be fixed prior to us arriving which was a real bummer since that is one of the items we looked for when choosing a cabin. This is a pet friendly cabin, and there were several stains on the rug on the in the entry area. The rug also had the scent of urine in a few spots that we discovered after playing a game in that area. The smokies make it easy to ignore things becuase the park and surrondings itself is beautiful. The hot tub was nice, the kitchen and grill is fantastic as well as the decks. If we were spending more time in the cabin I would have been upset but we spent much of our time in the park, but @ close to $500 a night, I would expect these types of issues not to exist. Either way, we will be back again, as we come every year.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a very nice stay at Blackjack and Elk springs was pleasant to deal with. We have vacationed in the Smokies for 20 years and never stayed at the same cabin twice, mostly because we want to vary our experience but there have been a few Agencies/resorts we won’t return to. Elk Springs is not one of them, we are actually interested in seeing what resort amenities they have in the works. We saw construction during our stay but as of yet, no clubhouse/pool/gym/courts, etc;. Blackjack was spacious and clean, had a gorgeous wrap around deck with a quality grill and glass stone gas fire pit. The deck could use a power washing. We enjoyed the theatre size TV screen but I wouldn’t describe the set up as a theatre room and there was a glitch that reset the system when people were walking upstairs just above the unit. We loved the huge sectional sofa but not the master bed with scratchy sheets that required a step stool to get into it. The hot tub was the largest and nicest one we’ve seen, loved it! Just be advised it’s on the ground level and there is a black bear that frequents the resort at dusk walking up the hill checking the cages for trash cans to see if they’re locked. We love bears but I was a bit unsettled with no barrier on the ground level between him and I other than a picnic table. The pool table was nice but on a small loft with no room to take a shot without hitting a wall. There’s plenty to love about Blackjack(especially it’s location to Gatlinburg)and Elk springs was not notified of any of our concerns because they were mostly cabin owners issues and not simple fixes. I’m certain had we asked they would have done they’re best to accommodate us. We will look to Elk Springs again in the future when the resort is more established and as usual pick a new cabin with new experiences.

Overall, Elk Springs communicated very well and I was pleased with the cabin. They kept me up to date and with the information we needed. The views were not as good as the pics due to the foliage growing over. Cabin was great though for the family. Only issue we had was the freezer door was left open, not a big deal. I dumped the ice and everything worked perfectly.

50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration at Elk Springs Resort

Silvercreek, Blackjack, and Mountain Laurel. They were all in close proximity... so everyone was able to go back and forth. We had a spectacular time. Close to all of the local attractions, nearby grocery stores. From working with their reservation department making recommendations to best accommodate our group, to staff calling during our stay to ensure our satisfaction, to offering to ship left items after departure. I would highly recommend using this resort as they truly collaborate with you to make your customer experience their priority.

Slept in a cold basement

There are 3 levels for this cabin, the master is upstairs, the main living quarters are on the second floor and the bunk bed, game room, hot tub, etc is on the bottom floor. The bottom floor is where our boys spent most of their time, along with where they slept. Unfortunately, there isn’t any heat down there. I called maintenance, they brought a tiny space heater the next day. The first night they slept in the absolute cold, the second night they brought the space heater that wasn’t efficient enough to warm the downstairs, it remained cold.

We loved our stay in Blackjack, everything was in perfect conditions. Just 10min away from Gatlinburg, so its right on the spot.Now, as a suggestion for future guest, after you take your trash out, try to contact Elk Spring Maintenance team, they are the best by the way!, but contact them to pick up the trash, just in case you dont want to have scare jumps at night or in the mornings with a Bear poking at the trash site! hehe. And last but not least, the Jacuzzi that's outside, it's on a spot that could be dangerous at nights. Why? Well if a Bear goes to poke/smell at the Trash he is just steps away to access that Area, it will be good to add some kind of wooden fence or something that will block the access to the 1st floor where the Jacuzzi is located( or right behind the entry stairs). Besides this scares that we had with the Bears, the cabin and everything it's a must! 100% recommended!

It was an easy drive to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the Smokey Mountains. We enjoyed it so much, we looked to book over Christmas but it was already full 😢. If I had to identify one complaint, it was that there was not a treadmill (a few of the pictures showed one). While this wasn’t a huge issue as we were able to run around the resorts, my cross county running kids would have appreciated it.

Treetop Retreat

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our GPS brought us in on a narrow windy road the back way from WV to our cabin. I would not recommend using that road as it is nearly impassable. Upon arriving, the cabin was easily accessible, had ample parking and smelled wonderfully clean. Everything was in working order. We had to do a slight adjustment to the float on the commode on the main level because it ran all night the first night. We did let staff know about this. Beds were comfy and kitchen well stocked with whatever we needed. Our group of 10 from age 7-72 had a wonderful family retreat here. Location is great as it is only 10 mins to Gatlinburg/20-25 from Pigeon Forge, and close to Food City. Our favorite place at the cabin was the huge wrap around porch. It felt like we were in a tree house. Would highly recommend! Only down side is there’s no pool at this resort or any cabin.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great place and close to town. Terrible cookware (warped and wouldn’t set on stove) and only 5 forks in entire cabin. We had 8 people so we had to go buy forks and a pan.
