"The house was very well equipped and a great set-up for us. We used all the seating areas, the pool, the grassy garden with the adirondack chairs, the picnic table, the patio table right outside the kitchen. It was so fun. We all enjoyed it so much. The location was ideal! We rented E-Bikes from Libery-Cycle which were awesome. We rode all over the Dordogne Valley on the bike trails. We will recommend this place to all our friends and family. "We stayed the Alienor gite, just outside the lovely village of Lanquais near the Dordogne river. Our host Ann is really excellent host. The house is excellent - all the comforts of home, plenty of space, great welcome supplies, spotlessly cleane, nice and cool in the really hot recent weather and excellent value for money. The site up on the side of a wooded hill was really quiet and relaxing, had great views and lovely countryside or riverside walks. The large private garden and facilities...

"We hebben twee geweldige weken doorgebracht in dit fijne en bijzondere huis. Bruno is erg aardig en was altijd bereid een vraag te beantwoorden of een tip te geven. De locatie is perfect als uitvalsbasis voor veel verschillende soorten uitstapjes. En als het erg warm was, was er een airco en een zwembad! De oprijlaan is steil, gelukkig is er iets verderop nog een minder steile opgang. "

"We had an excellent two-week stay in this lovely traditional gîte. The accommodation was comfortable and well equipped. The hosts, Pascal and Sabine, were wonderful and very welcoming. Our 10-year-old son really enjoyed the pool area. There was plenty to do and see in the area. We would definitely recommend it."

"A lovely family run hotel with attention to detail and great service. Great location, with a super pool (great for kids). Beautiful views across the hillsides. Breakfast was delicious and very fresh. Friday night BBQ and live music was a lovely experience. We visited a local Thai restaurant on Friday evening, as recommended by the hotel - they weren’t wrong. It was really tasty and the service excellent. All in all would highly recommend and would love to return to Hotel L’Abbaye!"

"Rambling large country home on a hilltop in the Dordogne area of SW France. Great outdoor amenities with a heated pool and large hot tub and outdoor shower. Also outdoor dining area with umbrellas and lovely views. The XL dining room was a great bonus for our family dinners. All bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom. There is no powder bathroom or half bath. As Americans we struggled with the size of the small showers. Also there is no A/C and the upstairs can get quite warm in the summer. There are fans in all of the bedrooms. Andy was very helpful and always ready to guide us about the property and the region and make great suggestions. They have an excellent binder in the house as well with a lot of info. We all had a wonderful time here! "
