"Coming back from a beutifull 15 days at Villa Soleil. I can not say enough praise for all the team at the villa that made our holiday worthwhile. Everything was spot on and the made us truly feel at home. Communication with Wolfgang as the owner was also great, nothing was too much a problem and arranged also a fantastic safari stay. "The villa it self was nice overall..the listing says 4 bedrooms but in all reality it was only two bedrooms and a loft with two beds upstairs in the loft.. The bedding was very damp almost like they were in a rush to put the bedding back on the beds after washing it... Wile sitting on the couch bedbugs bit my fiancée and you could see them crawling on the couch... The power went out and after calling the care taker and the property owner we were told we had to pay for our own electric. And then...

"We very much enjoyed our stay at the property. The property was as described and we loved the huge pool and it came with a cleaner, cook (we chose to cook ourselves) and 24 hr security. There are two other houses that share the complex but we always had the pool to ourselves. Lots of space. It is about a 5-10 min walk to the beach (down the Forty Thieves lane (now closed)) and is about a 5 min walk to Ali Barbour's. It is a short tuktuk to the Carrefour or can walk to the local grocery store....

"The location is pretty good, the way to the ocean is close, but pretty rough. A good store is not within walking distance, but a 3 minute tuk-tuk ride away. The apartment is ok, a bit outdated, but roomy. The pool is spacious, looks outdated but clean, the good part is that there are usually not many people there. "Our stay at Katarina's house was lovely. Katarina is very good at communicating details and the house manager Hamadi was also very helpful. The house is beautifully designed and extremely unique, although it is in need of some updating such as resurfacing the pool and mending concrete cracking. We had some issues with the electricity going out but that is common in Kenya and the house manager was quick to address the issues. We hired the cook George for the week and he was great.
