You are not regret choosing this little oasis in the middle of Georgetown. Love lane is where all the good food is right adjacent and it’s great walkable to everywhere. Lovingly restored and nice, soft beds and great pillows.

Fantastic stay!

Incredible stay. The hotel structure itself is beautiful and the ambiance is very inviting. The room was spacious comfortable rooms. Location is prime walking distance to all the hot spots in Georgetown. Breakfast was thoughtful and delicious. Finally, the hotel staff, particularly Amer, are incredibly welcoming, warm, and make you feel so comfortable & safe during your stay. My only wish is that we had stayed longer!

Loving 23 Love Lane

We had a divine experience in this wonderful hotel in the heart of George Town. The owner is kind and wants the very best for your stay. The staff is attentive. The rooms are also massive and the garden is cozy and a great place to relax after exploring Penang.

Charming boutique hotel with lush greenery offering plenty of little cozy areas to relax. A little oasis in the middle of the historic town. Staff members on site, Nick, Janet, Kee and Shipun were wonderful. Breakfast was included but options were limited but the hotel is minutes away from awesome local delights. Be sure to sample the infamous Penang Char Kway Teow (flavourful fried flat noodles) and the delicious white coffee (and more)! Great location!

Beautiful and lovely boutique hotel

We were greeted by Janet at the check-in desk. She was so friendly and helpful. We had an issue with the AC in our room. She made sure it was taken care of and also followed up on the matter. The rest of the staff were very courteous. I highly recommend Love Lane Hotel to other visitors.

This small heritage hotel is a gem! It has great character, the rooms are lovely and the staff are all friendly, helpful and made us feel right at home. In addition the artwork and antiques in the main lobby and rooms are interesting and appealing. The hotel is on Love Lane which has a great mixture of restaurants and bars within a two minute walk- but the hotel itself is quiet. If you enjoy an experience instead of a typical standard hotel, you will love this place, we will definitely stay here again if we come back to Penang!

A Perfect Stay at 23 Love Lane

My husband and I had an amazing stay at 23 Love Lane. We arrived hours before check-in, and the staff were incredibly accommodating, storing our luggage while we explored and preparing our room early. Set in a beautifully restored colonial-era building, the hotel blends British, Indian, and Chinese influences with antique furnishings and contemporary art. Our room was a perfect mix of mid-century modern décor, wooden floors, and a large, comfy bed. The location is ideal, within walking distance of famous street art, restaurants and night markets, Chinatown, Little India, historic jetties, and the esplanade. Though in a lively area, the hotel’s lush gardens offer a peaceful retreat, where we enjoyed reading and enjoying the company of Orange and Mac, the resident cats. Breakfast was simple yet delicious, starting with a continental spread and followed by à la carte options. A lovely touch was the complimentary 4 PM high tea, with delightful sweet and savory treats. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help, making our stay even more special. We’re so happy we chose 23 Love Lane and will definitely stay again when we return to Penang. Highly recommended!
