Water park and mins to the beach. Nice beach access. Staff are very nice but facilities seems a bit dated. Breakfast buffet was ok. So far a decent beach front hotel resort. Only complain is that the breakfast buffet area are not air conditioned and feel very unpleasant dinning in sweating heat. Wish the resort can air conditioned that area too in the future. Otherwise has been a pleasant stay.

We stayed at the golden sands by shangri-la in penang 5th to 8th of july. We had a beach /pool facing room which i would strongly recommend. Rooms are spacious and clean, buffet breakfast had a wide variety of food, plenty of pool activities and areas of entertainment for kids,I would highly recommend this hotel to any type of visitor

Great hotel if maybe a little dated, but everything is super clean and you can’t beat the views! For a solo business traveler it’s probably not the first choice, but for holiday or traveling with family it was a delight.
