"I adore Edwin and his family. They took very good care of this solo woman traveler. He feed me very well!! The atmosphere was very authentic to how the locals live in the jungle. It is rustic. Shower did not have hot water.. I did have the room with a.c. Very nice. I will for sure go here again."

"Calico Jacks is a bit outside San Ignacio so you definitely need a vehicle but the room was really cleaned and comfortable. I stayed for only one night so I haven’t used the pool or tried the zipline but the food at the restaurant onsite and the staff were amazing. Julio was my server and my guide the morning after to visit Barton Creek’s caves and he made sure I had a wonderful time."

"Beautiful setting and absolutely amazing staff that make you feel so welcome. Upon arrival our girls immediately went to the pool. Within minutes, Joe the groundskeeper arrived with fresh coconuts with straws for them to drink. Carlos the night time security guard was so friendly and helpful. We would love to return to Cassia Hill in the future. "

"The place was extremely clean. It had a nice small kitchen area and nice refrigerator. The owner was super professional and informative. The facility has a Belizian car you can rent which you'll need because the attractions are not too close. The place is nicely tucked away off the main road going into town."

The pool is small but perfect for cooling off and getting some sun. We even made use of the full-size BBQ by the pool one night. "I’m glad I chose my stay outside of the center of town. If you have a car and are debating where to stay I would chose this place because it’s so serene. There are 3 small houses on the property and they are all surrounded by trees. The hammocks in the porch were ideal. The breakfast was so good and the eggs I had there were the brightest ( real) eggs I’ve had. You’ll see hummingbirds right outside the restaurant. "What a magical place! We stayed 2 nights with a group of 21. Kids and adults from age 7-48. Fun time in the jungle! Staff, food and rooms were wonderful. Perfect place for a serene getaway "

"Maybe spend a few minutes at check-in to give the guest all the info they need. After signing the reservation form, I was given a key and my room was pointed out me. No other info was given. Front Desk agent was in a hurry to leave the building. No WiFi info, location of resort amenities, or other property info was shared. We walked around to find the pool and discovered it was dirty with a bunch leaves and other debris. I learned about the walking trails after my departure from someone else....

"Our three nights at Crystal Paradise was the perfect way to experience the jungle and the surrounding San Ignacio area. Each morning we had breakfast with over 60 species of birds and every evening we enjoyed wonderful home cooked meals. "We had an amazing experience staying here. It was close to the shuttle bus, market, restaurants. Having a kitchen made it easier to pack food for next day. Our host was very very helpful! She suggested local restaurant to try and helped us to find a last minute replacement tour early morning as our got cancelled late at night! We were able to leave our luggages there while we went to a half day tour, even after check out time. I highly recommend staying here! "

"When I made the reservation I thought we were at the main lodge and not at the camp. Of course the property is beautiful Accommodations were nice beds very comfortable , staff and was great but having to get up to walk to the bathroom was not fun for me so in the future when I book I will be making sure I’m at the main lodge. I think the camp is great for backpackers and those on a budget. "
