"For my situation, this was a very good hotel. I had a transit pass in Amsterdam already, so I didn't mind traveling out of the center for a hotel. I would say it was good quality for the money. It is a bit of a walk from the tram stop to the hotel (about 10-15 minutes). The area looks a bit sketchy, but I literally walked the neighborhood around at 3:00 in the morning and saw nothing noteworthy. I would say its perfectly safe.
