This property was in a very good location. The train was quite close about a 30 minute walk to the center. The old hotel felt very clean and comfortable. We had a great sleep on our mattress, very comfortable as well.

We loved the location. Extremely large room for European standards. Very clean. Check in was so easy, and they delivered bags to our room. We stayed 2 nights, and day-tripped to Brugge. Convenient to train station, and tram into downtown Gent. Would recommend.

Very warm welcome from the helpful receptionist, lovely big room (with very welcome air con). All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Location close to the station but in a quiet street, with no noise worked well for us.

He had a great stay. The property and rooms are clean. The breakfast was very good. We wanted to be close to the train station so the location was perfect for us. The highlight was the staff! They are very helpful and pleasant, wonderful to deal with!

We had a fabulous stay at the Carlton Hotel. The staff and the owner were friendly, easy going and very helpful. The room was spacious and the breakfasts were a delight. We'd have no hesitation going back to the Carlton if the opportunity arose.

This is now my favourite Hotel in Ghent! It has much better rates than many other Hotels and by far the biggest rooms! It's a very elegant and beautiful place and the carpets in the room are very clean. The woman who checked me in was very friendly and during my stay Karen & Melissa were very helpful and made me feel at home!

A nice boutique hotel conveniently located near the train station. Very quiet. Good HVAC system: each room had what appeared to be its own heat pump (or other similar) unit so it should be well equipped to provide comfort on hot summer nights (we couldn't test this: hottest it got in late Sept for us was around +24-25C). Some maintenance issues: fixed right away; bathroom lightbulb not fixed during our stay: leaking sink (small pool of water under sink cabinet), loudly squeaking bathroom door. TV only delivers 2-3 dutch channels, nothing else. Has YouTube app installed + Chromecast. Could not get cold water from sink (at coldest, mildly lukewarm) but they supplied free water bottles every day. Small fridge useful for storing very small quantities of food. Coffee machine + kettle (many hotels only had a kettle). Staff very friendly + helpful.
