"My husband & I and two other couples stayed at Penelope Home for 5 nights. The home is located about halfway between the 2 airports on Crete. (About an hour each direction) We liked the central location and enjoyed hikes, caves, the beach and other activities. The suggestions for restaurants and bakeries by our host were spot on. The host also handled our transfers which was very much appreciated."

They clearly care about keeping it great shape, and it shows! Marina was very helpful with suggestions and advice. "Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Zimmer sind sehr großzügig geschnitten und liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles Notwendige ist vorhanden. Nicht alles ist ganz neu, aber das unterstreicht den Charme des Hauses. Highlights waren für uns die große mit Wein überwachsene Terrasse und die vielen schattigen Plätzchen, z.B. unter dem Orangenbaum am Pool. Klitzekleiner Kritikpunkt: Die Matratzen in den Betten waren für uns eher hart, das ist sicher Geschmackssache. Fazit: Absolut empfehlenswert."

Fliegengitter vor den Schiebefenstern und -Türen wäre extrem gut. Allerdings müsste man das Haus dann auch besser abdichten. Es dauert ewig (mehrere Minuten) bis heißes Wasser da ist. Fussboden ist wohl an einigen Stellen nass geworden. Müsste erneuert werden."

"My family and I enjoyed our stay at this villa with it being so spacious for both the adults and children. The children had a great time in the pool and one of my granddaughters actually learned how to swim during our stay. It is recommended that a car is hired, which we did, as there is a very steep hill down to the main road and beach area. "Currently, the only completed mini villa out of four. The other three are constructed, but not completed. Because this was the only one it was wonderfully private. Everything was exactly as shown. "The property was great but we had a few issues with water supply. The first time was after a thunderstorm and we had a day with no electricity or water. Then no water on 2 further occasions. "We had a lovely holiday staying here. Excellent location for Rethymno Old Town. Great outdoor spaces - balconies and sunny roof top. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Communications with Katja, the host, were friendly and efficient. We hired a car and parking at the port was straightforward - we were able to park in the free section most of the time.
