"I loved sleeping to the sound of the waves just outside the window. This hotel has personality and is well placed in the lovely lively yet civilised resort. It has a spa on the top floor where you can have a treatment looking out to sea through the jasmine and lavender. The staff members on reception were helpful and kind. The bar area is quirky and lovely and the restaurant looks over the sea. The tables are set with white linen and the food is good. There is just a promenade where people walk and children play but there are no cars in front of the hotel. The town has a historic area on top of a hill, a lovely bay and an interesting selection of independent shops — al within walking distance of the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay."

"I've stayed in a number of places in beautiful Bordighera over the years, and this apartment is simply lovely! First is location - close to the lungomare and the sea, to the great markets and shops, cafes and restaurants, the cinema, Bordighera Alta (the medieval gated city) and so many walks in the hills. Remarkably despite its central location, the apartment is very quiet and peaceful!Another highlight of Casa Grandis is the attention to detail in the apartment's furnishings. Windows and sunlight are everywhere in this airy, bright apartment. The main bedroom is large and comfortable with good quality linens, a beautiful view, and small desk by the window. A well-equipped kitchen is a pleasure to cook in and the dining table looks out on the hillside and terrace. Generous couches on which to recline make the kitchen a cozy retreat. The second bedroom, though small, has another wonderful view and fantastic breezes waft in through the window -- the fresh sea breezes of Bordighera are legendary! Meanwhile the bathroom is spacious and comfortable with a good shower and full size bathtub decorated in stunning period tiles. There is ample storage space in every part of the apartment. Finally, Cristina, the apartment's owner is an excellent host. The house has been part of her family for many years and is filled with love. Cristina kindly responds to questions, provides lots of local advice and knowledge is responsive to her guests. What a wonderful stay! I will be back! "

"Nice little hotel down the road from the main stretch of Bordighera, basic and nice. A/c worked great, the hotel was clean, nice little view of the sea and steps from a quiet beach and nice beachfront restaurant. 20 minute walk from the main part of the town. The train is apparent at night but the whole beautiful little city is nearby the train so just put earplugs in if you are so sensitive to it. "

"The best ice cream bar just three minutes walking. Beach, restaurants. A little supermarket is just six, seven minutes walking. You have your pasta shop, your pastry shop, your fruit&vegetable shop nearby. The apartment is a little palace. Spacey and clean. The Italian neighbours listen to the television each night, which you hear through the wall. For my son, who never lived in a house with neighbours before, this was a fantastic experience. The tv-sounds are in the living room. They don’t disturb in the rest of the house. Ospedaletti has everything you need. We are here without a car. We rented a bike to go to Sanremo. It is just a 15 minutes bike ride away. Giovanni is the nicest host. Sweet, interested and helpful. We found our place to come back to next year."
