To go to the village or seaside resorts down the hill you need to use a car.
Long distance, narrow and no footpath makes walking impossible.
The local bus service should be avoided. Infrequent and I have been on more comfortable roller coasters.
That means you spend more time eating in the hotel’s excellent restaurant (and pool) so budget to do that.

"A beautiful hotel that is sits in a lovely location. It is only a very short walk to the, shops , bars etc.
The pool area is very relaxing .

Villa Liguria - pure relaxation, perfect view over the sea with private pool

"Lovely property, overlooking the sea not far from San Remo on the Ligurian coast. Host was very helpful throughout and communicated everything we required. Villa was great for our group of 6 friends - 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms gave some flexibility in sleeping arrangements. The kitchen and living areas were very clean and well provisioned when we arrived - great coffee machine. Many excellent restaurants and cafes in the area and several shops and supermarkets for provisions. I found the mattress a little hard, but that was a minor issue. Pool was also great. We visited during a period of very hot weather, so we really appreciated the air conditioning throughout the house. Overall a great week in a beautiful spot."
"Staff were very friendly, excellent breakfast that was included. great dining option for lunch and dinner. You get lot of good foods for very low price. "
"I am very happy with the stay. Very clean, sunny, warm and surprisingly walkable. Just a short walk down the hill and there's a pharmacist, newsstand and the beach. There's a very nice path along the coast to nearby cafe, restaurant and a tiny mini golf course. A little further on the same path you can get to other restaurants and cafes. I highly recommend staying here.
My only tiny issues were there was some confusion between the listing as I thought there was wifi but there is none. There was also instructions to call 30 minutes before arriving in which I was given a different address from the listing to avoid a bad road.

"We felt very welcome, the flat was equipped with everything we needed, we were greeted by Antonella with tomatoes and figs from her garden, as well as advice about the surroundings. The garden was great for breakfast and dinner with shady spots morning and evening. The flat is located in a historic building in a small town up on the hills about 7 minutes by car from Santo Stefano with a nice free beach and some nice restaurants."

Dirty areas out and inside the apartment. The swimming pool is not clean .
There are not any amenities ( not soap or shampoo not toilet paper )
There is no ramps or elevators to go to the apartment to carry the luggages
