"Breathtaking tranquility. Balcony view from the room was gorgeous, high above the city. Pool was a plus for some exercise. Room was functional and cozy. Not much to do other than dining room and walk to the castle. You need a car or taxi to go up the steep hill to the Parador."

"Hotel Xauen is a gem in the center of Jaén. Come and check this hotel out. From the hotel you see spectacular views of the city of Jaen. This hotel’s bathroom was so clean and well put together that I actually could not leave without taking a picture of it. The staff at Hotel Xauen was courteous and professional. "This is a very old fashioned hotel. Bit like staying in a museum. Booked this hotel as the reviews were good, not sure they are correct! One says its like home from home, not sure what sort of home they live in! Also its states offsite parking, reservations required. The only parking was a very rough car park. We were on a motorbike & secure parking is a must. Cant comment on the breakfast as we had to leave early. "
