"Friendly staff and check in. Our first room had a malfunctioning toilet so had to change rooms. Second room was better, refrigerator was not work on the second room. Renovations were on going so some construction noise was present as early as 8:12 am when we were assured that it would start after 9am. The beds and pillows in the room were new (feet like it). Overall, it was fine. I would consider a different property in the future if there was renovations on going. "

"The welcome building is terrible. After a long drive we needed to use the restroom. It was behind the check-in desk and worst than a gas station restroom. Toilet couldn't flush and it was dirty and unkept. The outside of the property is in need of repairs. Very shabby looking. The first room we looked at was dingy looking and smelled stale. The second room was decent."

"House is very pretty and spacious.Communication could have been better. I used the VRBO portal to try to resolve a miscommunication two days before arrival and it took a day and a half to receive a response. Host told me I should have texted him but I was never provided his phone number.There are 5 heat pumps/AC split system units but only one controller provided. This negates the feature of having guests be able to independently set temperatures to be comfortable in the lower level. Be prepared to bring extra towels - only 1 bath towel (old and tired) provided per guest and one hand towel per bathroom. "

"Asa’s home was perfect for our family vacation of 4 (including our dog), but can accommodate many more - The view was so delightful (amazing) that it was difficult to leave each day to explore Newport and the surrounding area. Check-in was a breeze as Asa met us upon arrival to explain everything about the house. The house was lovely and comfortable. It was well-stocked with everything you would need for your stay. Getting to Newport was very easy as the house is close to the Jamestown Bridge. Narragansett is just a short drive away. We also enjoyed visiting the birthplace of Gilbert Stuart, the famous portrait artist. Much to do in the area but we really enjoyed just relaxing at this lovely home. We would not hesitate to recommend Asa’s getaway and we look forward to returning!"

"We loved the house and the neighborhood too. The short walk to the sea was so sweet as You can even see the Newport bridge. Fun time at Kelly beach as well. Hitched a ride with a neighbor one day in a golf cart , shuttle bus next! What fun..and all comfortable beds too! It was actually fun to clean on our way out.."

"Arrived to a clean cool home, a godsend in the heat we had last week. The outside deck was very sunny and provided a pleasant view over the tree tops from the elevated site. All four beds were extremely comfortable and quiet. The house is in a great location for visits around RI. I loved the cycling especially the south coast bike path from Narragansett to Kingston, rented a bike from NBX..nice guys. Our only suggestion would be a beach pass to Bonnet Shores ….this is a great place for an early morning walk but otherwise is private and inaccessible. The Narragansett town beach is only 4 miles away, but on a sunny weekend the car parking gets full by 9:15. We decided that using Ubers to and from the beach was easier on the weekend. "
