Girona Vacations from AED2,582

Room was spacious, musty smell in room & beds, carpets were filthy, minimum utensils, no kettle, toaster, microwave, wine glasses, no clothes line on balcony, no cleaner, towel change, sheets change, toilet rolls during our 10 day stay. 28th Sept-8th Oct 2026 On second day of stay, I rang the telephone no 18 times to request kettle, etc. and finally Jose Mari answered ,he and his colleague Andy gave me a kettle, & cork skrew opener, a promise within the hour a toaster, during our stay a microwave, neither of which we received. My husband & I celebrated 50 years of marraige, an occasion for a nice holiday, both in our seventies, only to arrive at the building and did not have a code for the door to gain access, as I received no e-mail before we left home with instructions. Phoned at least 20 times the no on the door. Sat on the wall for 2hours, before Jose Mari came to let us in, no reception, front desk, just a machine for you to input your passport details & pay local taxes. Key drops from machine for your room. Same on leaving after your stay. Leave your key in letter box. No one to ask if there was a place to leave luggage when having a later flight. Our experience was the most impersonal we encountered in our travels. It was a terrible let down for which should have been a joyous holiday stay .Would not stay again, & would not recommend anyone to stay at Suites del Mar Fenals.

Decent

Good hotel, friendly staff and clean room

Of all the places I booked on this trip, this was the one I was looking forward to the most. Sadly it was a big let down. The hotel is dated, styled from 20 yrs ago, and the room felt dark and dungeon-like. The beds were very hard sheets were stained. It was difficult to sleep as you can hear everything in the rooms around you. The doors slam so hard the the room shakes everytime someone in the corridor enters or exits their room. None of the lights in the room had the same bulbs so some were brighter than others and unless you had them all on you couldn't see. The shower base drained incorrectly so all the water spilled out onto the bathroom floor instead of going down the drain. The room had no AC and was stuck on 24°C the whole time. I opened the patio doors for air because it was cooler outside but because people could smoke on the patios the cigarette smoke just came in my room. The elevators need to be serviced and shook and squealed so loudly you could hear it across the street. The breakfast was OK but not exactly fresh. Most of the fruit was moldy and old. Some of the other items just kept getting put out the next day instead of using fresh food. The serving staff in the hotel meal area and spa were rude and unhelpful. The pool was in the shade and not heated so you couldn't really use it or even relax in that area. Wifi was awful. It's not a 4 star and I wouldn't stay again, especially when there were way nicer hotels in the area.
