"The hotel is centered around their restaurant which superb.
Also the breakfast is unconventional and made of the finest ingredients.
The spa is small but lovely and made with the finest taking care of details.
A place which is a true delight "
"We enjoyed our stay here. Itâs a fairly low key hotel in a low key town but very peaceful and friendly. The owners are very family focussed and there is a childrenâs toy area in the corner of the small restaurant. Thereâs a boot room downstairs for storing ski gear (and I believe my bikes in the summer). The set and a la carte menus are good if limited in choice which suited us. Itâs necessary to bookâŠas is the case with anywhere in Termignon and the other Val Cenis villages. "
"Ecrin Blanc was a great ski in and ski out property, with a good restaurant inside the hotel for both dinner and breakfast. Service especially in the ski valet was fantastic. "

"The hotel is relatively new and therefore the facilities are in great conditions. The decorations and furniture give the place a nice ambience. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Overall I enjoyed staying at Best Western in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne."
"The is a rare find. The staff, the kitchen and the Hotel are all following very high consistant standards. It was a nice surprize. Exceeded my expections. "
"The beds were incredibly comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The rooms are a little tight, and the service can be a little slow in the lobby at busy times, but I would recommend the place without hesitation. It has a fantastic family atmosphere, too."

"Everything about this hotel is FANTASTIC. The staff is the friendliest, customer service is amazing and the hotel is absolutely gorgeous plus the rooms are really spacious. Honestly if it wasnât because we were skiing I donât think we wouldâve left our room. It was late in the season and the hotel was still staffed. Definitely worth the price, amazing all over. "
"Lovely hotel - literally ski in/ski out, with the slopes right outside the doorstep (and a helpful ski locker in the basement). The staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitiely recommended for an upmarket experience on the ski slopes!"
"Had an amazing stay at the altapura, read a few reviews a few days before we went and were worried, but it was great. Main complaints were about how hot the rooms were, which were understandable, but opening the window solved that. The other critique we read was about the restaurants and choice of food for half board. Breakfast was buffet and had a great selection. Dinner you get 65 euros contribution each evening towards food, which you can choose from the menu of the 3 different restaurants they have. European, Japanese and a cheese place. The food is all cooked fresh and to a great standard. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the hotel is in my opnion in the perfect location, ski in skin out, not far from several ski lifts, but not in thr centre of town so you don't get all the noise and footfall. Beds were really comfy, overall had a great experience and will be back next year! "
"Stayed at Hotel Marielle for three nights for a Spring snowboarding trip with my teenage son. Location is excellent right on the snow front with ski in ski put directly to the main lifts in Val Thorens. Reception, restaurant and bar staff were friendly professional, knowledgable and most importantly helpful and really made the stay a real pleasure. Room was spacious and clean and had a great view of the snow front. The terrace bar below does play music late afternoon till about 6 or 7 which adds to the buzz of the snow front location but if you want a quiet room better to ask for one at the back. Good selection of food options for breakfast and dinner (we did half board). Service gets a bit overwhelmed at peak pre ski school time 8.15 to 8.45am (our visit was in school holidays) with a few items running out on the buffet but they are quickly replaced if you ask. A second coffee machine might help for peak times! Decor is lovely - has a bit of a Parisian Boutique hotel feel to it. Huge spa with steam room and massive Sauna with a window onto the snow front. Although my son is a teenager now I thought the hotel was well set up for smaller children with lots staying, the ESF ski school straight out front and a decent games room. Val Thorens wa s great for Spring skiing lent to of snow relative to resorts further down the valley and the multitude of lifts meant no big queues. Would definitely stay here again. "
"Amazing hotel for a ski resort.
Room was beautifully fitted out with a stunning view of the resort and valley.
It is right at the top of the resort, but only 10 mins walk to the main group of bars, and there is a ski in and out option. Plus free transfer available around the resort.
Breakfast options were huge to start the day.
The bar was cosy and the terrace had a lovely view and sunshine.
Spa was impressive but often busy.
Only issues were that the room was often hot and no obvious way to cool it down other than opening a window/door. The boot room didnât have locks on the doors or anywhere to store skis (which I assume is because everyone rents from their ski shop but that was expensive), and even with the transfers it is removed from the centre of the resort, so you will spend a lot of time walking up and down hill - but that was our choice.
Definitely would go again."
"Great family stay at this property. Very convenient location in a quiet area of VT village; 15-20mtrs from an entry slope onto main ski area (making this ski-in/out) and a 2-4mins walk to shops and restos for the part of VT. Very hassle free experience throughout"
