"Room very clean but I thought the room was a bit smaller than a room I’d stayed in on a previous visit to the hotel but overall a good stay and a decent location"

Maldron Hotel Glasgow City

Maldron Hotel Glasgow City

8/10 Good
"A very impersonal hotel which does its job. However prices fluctuate considerably and are pumped up when busy to that of a 5 star. It isn’t. It’s always busy. Rooms are clean but even in an executive room there’s no fridge. Room service ordered - arrived quickly but no glasses for drinks and no salt and pepper. Waiter disappeared to get them and never reappeared. This is the reason you should never tip up front on a QR code before getting the food. These hotels run on as few staff as possible and staff are stretched between roles. Don’t get me wrong it’s a decent hotel - facilities 4 star service maybe not"

Carlton George Hotel

Carlton George Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Overall I loved my stay at the Carlton George in Glasgow. Super impressed with this hotel. Don’t be fooled by the outdated lobby! My room was gorgeous and modern and it has a boutique hotel feel. Lots of nice added touches like robes and slippers and extra amenities. Towels are fluffy and soft and the bathroom is lovely with a great layout. I loved coming back to my room at the end of a day exploring the city. Location is also perfect! The staff were super friendly and helpful. One thing I didn’t love and I know cannot be controlled but I really should have been warned about. I woke up at 6 am Tuesday morning to some very loud unsettling sounds outside. This went on for over an hour. Metal clashing and clanging and vibrations and bizarre noises. I knew it wasn’t construction but didn’t have a clue what it was. It was the kegs being changed in the pub next door which I know is not avoidable but I would have very much appreciated a heads up since this happens weekly and I would have relaxed and tried to go back to sleep instead of being uneasy and worried and unsure what was happening outside so early."

The Address Wren

10/10 Excellent
"We stayed at the Address Wren during our recent visit to Glasgow. We know the city well, but noted previous reviews about finding the hotel. I looked it up on Google maps before our visit and found it immediately (although, subsequent communications from the hotel were useful). The room was excellent value for money, the beds were extremely comfortable and the room contained all of the required amenities. We had the windows open, which was quite noisy in the early parts of the night, but we both slept through anyway, and had a great nights sleep. There was a fan in the room if we had preferred this. Overall, and excellent hotel, in a perfect location. Will definitely book again next time we are in Glasgow."

Leonardo Royal Hotel Glasgow

Leonardo Royal Hotel Glasgow

10/10 Excellent
"Great hotel for a business trip. Easy walking distance from many restaurants and Glasgow central station. Breakfast was great - lovely to have a friendly welcome each morning. I had a room overlooking the trains but they didn’t bother me as don’t run throughout the night! Room was great. Great having 3 lifts so not having to wait. Only downside I can find is the other people staying thinking it’s ok to vape and smoke in the entrance to the hotel - walking past to get in and out is awful but guessing out of your control."
