"Location wise this place was perfect, especially for the price point. It’s older so the amenities are a little outdated but we weren’t bothered (our bathroom was recently updated so that was a bonus). No onsite parking but seems the whole town parks at the community centre for no charge (about a 3 min walk from hotel).
The pillows were horrible though so be warned."
"This hotel is in a fantastic position on the beautiful Isle of Skye with stunning views and alongside the Sligachan Bridge. The rooms where lovely and very clean. We enjoyed wonderful food at the restaurant adjacent to the hotel, we would definitely recommend a stay here while visiting this amazing island!"

"The Backrest is a great base for anyone wanting to spend some time on Skye. We spent most of our time just chilling there and enjoying the local area. Mette is an excellent host. The property is first rate. I’d recommend the Backrest to anyone wanting high quality accommodation on the Isle of Skye."
