Stayed at #241 recently. Overall good stay but a few things might need attention. - Shower floor feels very thin and bouncy...I feel a lot of flex while standing and moving. - AC unit was noisy, definitely louder than normal. - Sink faucet needs attention. When washing hands, a lot of water gets on the mirror and counter due to the spray pattern of the faucet.

This is a budget hotel so I didn't expect much. It was clean, had a friendly staff and the basic ammenities. I didnt swim but the pool looked very nice. Lots of places to eat nearby.

Staff was nice, location good best coffee shops and old town. Room was dingy and didn’t feel clean - bleach smell was overwhelming in the room but parking lot was really loud esp in the morning. Wouldn’t stay again.

Check-in was awkward and uncomfortable. You check in on a kiosk and a person pops up in a window to assist. She was impatient and the volume was uncomfortably loud. There was no one in the office. The room was clean and serviceable, which is exactly what I needed it to be. Lack of Kleenex in the room was unexpected. The facilities were clean and functioning. The staff who I did interact with were friendly and helpful, both when I called the front desk and when I checked out.

Motel 6 has a business model of providing minimal amenities for minimal prices, and this place is no exception. It is basically a place to have a roof over your head at night, with no attempt at warmth or charm. It was right off US Highway 101, and ten-minute drive to the local airport & to UCSB. Goleta has almost no places that a visitor to Santa Barbara would want to visit, so this Motel Six, like many of this chain, is just a place to spend a night or two while on your way to somewhere else. The room had a full bath, phone, AC, fridge, and TV with 40 channels. It was clean, quiet, and well-maintained. Free amenities included parking, wifi, pool, and morning coffee in the lobby. Innumerable shops & restaurants are within walking distance. Staff was helpful in providing an iron & ironing board, and allowing me to print out my boarding passes if I sent them as a pdf to an email address.

Check in was challenging and frustrating. By design, there was no one at the desk. Check in was via a kiosk. Unfortunately, it was not fully automated. As soon as I provided ID, a camera supplied staff appeared in a small screen in the upper right corner. Not sure where he was located, but India or Bangladesh would be my guess! More importantly, his English, and/or pronunciation was nearly impossible to understand!! I got through it, but really? That's the only person that could be hired? The rest of the stay was fine. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Though, not sure who would have been available if I needed some support

This isn't a bad property for the price. Here are the good things: very close to the beach, very close to the airport, very close to a lot of restaurants and shops, very quiet at night, very comfortable beds and pillows. Here are the things that weren't so great: the air conditioner wasn't fabulous and it was fairly loud, no elevator to get to the second floor , the parking was not that great when the hotel is full and we had to park in another businesses parking lot overnight, there's no bath mat in the shower and it is super slippery, no coffee maker in the room, very cramped. Depending on the purpose of your trip, not a bad place to stay.
